So I really really like the song in guitar hero "Knights of Cydonia" and checked a few more of their songs out on youtube and liked those as well. Anyone have any suggestions on which of their cd's are better (I haven't even looked into how many they have) cause I'm thinking about picking one up. Thanks ahead of time!

Absolution is great. Knights is a little different then their older stuff, They were more like early Radiohead on their other albums.

For individual songs, check out Sunburn, Stockholm Syndrome, Sing for absolution.

My Preference is

1. Absolution
2. Black Holes and Revelations
3. Origins of Symmetry
4. Origin
5. Hulaballo Soundtrack

but all are great albums.

As a whole, I think Origin of Symmetry and Showbiz were better albums. Absolution and Black Holes have some of my favorite individual tracks, but they seem (to me) to be filled with more filler and skippable songs than the first two albums (which, unlike the aforementioned, I usually just sit and listen all the way through).

Highlights from Absolution... Apocalypse Please, Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria, Thoughts of a Dying Atheist
Black Holes and Revelations... Take a Bow, Map of the Problematique, Assassin, Knights of Cydonia

Obviously though, I'm the minority here. Just give them all a listen - they're all worth it.

Talking music with my niece over christmas, she mentioned that Muse was one of her favorite bands.
I've been meaning to check them out as she's got consistently good taste in music (for a kid).
