Journeyman
Saw the previews for a new NBC series coming this fall - Journeyman. It stars Kevin McKidd (Lucius Vorenus from Rome) as a San Francisco reporter who suddenly gets the ability to time travel and change lives (sounds kind of Quantum Leapish).
I like Kevin McKidd so I am looking forward to seeing this one.

Ray Stevenson, the actor that played Titus, will play The Punisher in the sequel (with Jigsaw being the villian).

Nice! Hope it goes well and he gets more parts. I'm curious to see how he does in a different role.

Re: Journeyman
The Puisher will go down as one more great comic book idea that Hollywood fucked up. Just like AvP and the Hulk.
Luckily, all 3 are getting complete makeovers in their upcoming sequels, with new actors, new directors, and reimagination of the respective franchises. I credit a lot of the new line of thinking to Batman Begins. Studios realize that realisim is what people like and respect, even in a comic book movie.
I forsee the sequels of all that I mentioned being heads and shoulders above their previous films.

Re: Journeyman
Watched the first episode of Journeyman. Seemed about average to me. Hopefully future episodes will go a little smoother when the "something can happen to character X and nobody believes them" stage is over. Which was getting a bit annoying.

Re: Journeyman
Just watched this. I liked it. Not terribly original, but I liked Quantum Leap way back when, so why not? What will keep me watching is the intrigue surrounding his deceased wife showing up like some kickass femme-spy.
I agree with those who think Titus Pollo should be in this...

Not a shabby show, I enjoyed it enough to add it to my DVR list. I also found the new show Chuck to be suprisingly funny.

Re: Journeyman
Very entertaining. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this to see how it develops.
The intervention scene was hilarious for some reason. Probably because I've been watching "Intervention" on TV lately.

Still enjoying this show--last night's episode was really good! Next week looks to be exciting as well, especially since he goes back to 1989.

Re: Journeyman
Watched the first two episodes yesterday, and the only thing that bugs me is his brother. He reminds me too much of the brother of Dennis Leary in Rescue Me.
Re: Journeyman
He's got that Steve McQueen hotness factor. That's why I watch it.

Re: Journeyman
Just watched episodes 1 and 2. I like it. I have no problem figuring out when he's leaped into. Made me tear-up twice now. Towards the end of each show.

While the show had some flaws I actually enjoyed it a lot more than Heroes.Time's about up for "Journeyman" By Nellie Andreeva
Tue Dec 11, 10:45 PM ET
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The journey is coming to an end for NBC's freshman series "Journeyman."
NBC had until Tuesday to give a full-season pickup to the time-travel drama starring Kevin McKidd. The network let that option lapse, practically canceling the series, which posted its lowest adults 18-49 rating (1.7 rating/8 share) on Monday without a "Heroes" lead-in. The network already tried out fellow rookie "Life" in "Journeyman"'s Monday 10 p.m. slot last week.
Despite the Hollywood writers strike, "Journeyman" was able to complete its 13-episode order.
The remaining two original segments will air as scheduled, an NBC spokeswoman said.
NBC recently handed out full-season pickups to two of its four rookie scripted series, "Life" and "Chuck."
Since the production of most scripted series has been suspended because of the strike, such orders are considered a vote of confidence to the shows and a potential renewal for next season if the additional episodes can't be produced by the end of this season.
In limbo is the fate of the fourth new NBC series, the once-promising "Bionic Woman," which has been sliding in the ratings since its premiere.

Re: Journeyman
I've been liking Journeyman, and it has been one of the few shows that I have watched regularly during the Fall. Hopefully they will at least come to a suitable conclusion in the final episodes. From what the article said, it sounds like they were written before the strike.

Re: Journeyman
It was alright, but nothing I could get into. I took it out of my DVR queue about a month ago, I think it was his wife that did it in for me...I did not like that story line at all. I am glad that Chuck got picked up, I really enjoy that series but the one I am really looking forward to is Lost season 4!

I hope Kevin McKidd finds another good TV series to work on now that Journeyman is going away.

Re: Journeyman
Will suck of Journeyman gets canceled. I honestly can't see why anyone in their right mind would watch Life. Bionic Woman wouldn't surprise me to be canceled. I tried getting into it, but it's just boring.
Kid Nation finale was cool though! "I'm shoplifting! Have a nice day."

I can not believe that this show is getting the axe. I have watched since episode 1. Each week the show has gotten better, well to me. Yesterdays rocked, one small opps and you come home to a daughter not a son!

Re: Journeyman
yeah, I thought it was cool how such a small thing could change so much.
Re: Journeyman
It was a decent episode. If I have one (small) complaint about the series it's that constant annoying person in the present time. It's not always the same person. For instance the last episode it was Katie's sister and the episode before that it was the mother. Before that the FBI guy and before that Dan's wife along with his brother throughout the season with the exception of the last couple when he finally 'believed'. I just don't see what those side plots bring to the story. I see the underlying one with the Professor paying off but most of the other present day drama wasn't really necessary.
Anyway, I think this show could only get better with future seasons. It's a sad state of affairs when decent shows with potential like this (probably) get cancelled yet millions of people still watch shit like Survivor and Worlds Biggest Loser or whatever the reality-show-of-the-day happens to be at the moment.

Re: Journeyman
what the hell was it on last night for...arg. At least the DVR caught it. I noticed that it was recording something shortly before the episode ended, and I never knew it was supposed to be on.
