I had the good fortune of trying out this new game from IO Interactive (the people behind the HITMAN series). A friend of mine is a games reviewer for a couple of danish magazines, and he landed a copy last week. I got a call monday from a breathless Casper who demanded I come over and try it out - 'It's just like being in a fucking Michael Mann movie!'. He was right.

For the first half of the game, at least, the setting is absolutely awesome. The story works, the characters are weird, believable (action-movie-believable, if you understand what I mean) and wildly entertaining, and there's enough of a gameplay challenge to make this really fun.

At one point the setting changes from gritty urban to Havana and the game loses a bit of steam, but it's still remarkably good fun. Oh, and there's a co-op function that works wonders.

I'm not going to spoil the story here, but will say that you probably shouldn't trust people who are popping "ulcer medicine" left and right.

Sounds like a good one! Both Mass Effect and Kane and Lynch will be out on Nov 23rd. (K&L Nov 13th for the 360)

i seriously can't wait for this game... i've been following it for about a year. the story seems like it's going to be top notch... something along the lines of "Heat" and "Man on Fire". now i'm just waiting to read the reviews and see how it stacks up. i tried getting a review from metacritic, but not much help there yet. hopefully it turns out great with little flaws... since i'm really looking forward to this one.

fuck shit fuck fuck... i can't believe how much i was dying for this game to be good since i love games based on crime stories etc. i haven't played it yet, but all the things i'm hearing about it are not good... so i'm wondering if anyone here has played it yet... and if so... is it still worth the 60 dollar price tag?

worst case scenario i might just end up renting it or borrowing it from someone. it seems like the game has some really cool ideas that weren't executed well.
