Well System of a Down may be on hiatus, but the former lead singer has an album coming out on Oct 23rd, titled "Elect the Dead". He has written, produced, mixed, and played the majoirty of the insturments in his home studio. He's releasing it on an indie label and directing his own videos.
I really love seeing an artist take absolute control of every aspect that they can. Prince is another artist who has an insane amount of control over every aspect of his art.
Anyway, here is a concept/interview that Serj did. You can tell he is very much a passionate and true artist in every sense of the word.

And here are 2 new videos from his solo album. This first one is called "Empty Walls". I think the video is fantastic. It's very eerie to me and had a high impact.

Here is his second video, called "The Unthinking Majority".

As the lead singer from System, the music is pretty much the same overall. Sometimes it starts out a bit on the annoying side, but he tends to seal the deal with me with an addictive chorus.

I like the first one a lot, second one is good too... I always liked SoaD, and just leeched their discography last night.
Typically, I do not like artists to bring politics into their music, but he's been doing it from the start and I think it's in a mild enough fashion that you can overlook it or even agree with certain points he's trying to make.

Re: Serj Tankian, post System of a Down
Didn't think much of it tbh, his voice is so samey that it just starts pissing me off after a couple of songs.
