stranglehold and r6 vegas look like utter shit, same with halo 3.. it they all literally look like xbox/ps2 games more or less. I've had my xbox unplugged from the network for awhile so I'm not sure when the actual update date was, it updated yesterday and i noticed everything got really ugly.

Halo 3 looks fine on my system and all I have is updates that come with games (one came with Halo 3 and another with Crackdown) as it's never hooked up to the net.

The last update supposedly just added support for those big button gamepads that come with SceneIT! so they can do testing on retail 360's.

yeah except this really happened and there are a lot of people complaining about it on the xbox forums and it only seems to have affected certain consoles

that really sucks man. what's involved in that process? do you need to have your original receipts or anything? do you just call and give them a serial number and they ship you a box?

mine still works sans this aa issue but since i have one from the initial release day im paranoid it's going to rrod anyday now.

Haven't researched it yet, but from what I understand you go to a website and enter some infoz and they ship you a box to put it in.

You can either call support or do it online, I personally would prefer to just talk to someone and get it done that way. If you don't have an extended warranty yet, you have until your factory warranty with MS runs out (1 year) to pay for it with them and get it, which would obviously be a good idea.

I have heard large variances in time it takes people to get them back, I guess it just depends on your luck. I know rellix just went through the shit and it took him like a month, but I have heard from some people who had it back in under 2 weeks.

I thought the ms warranty got extended to 3 years for everyone? If it's one year mine has come and gone since I have a release day 360.

I "think" the Friends lag is Halo3 related. They added new options to the friends tabs when they have Halo3 to see their service record and shared files. Those options populate after the normal options.

I tried talking to support but they have no idea what they are talking about. They kept asking me to make sure my cables are in correctly (my HD cable is switched to HD if I'm using it). Of course its all attached correctly, I CAN play it, just not on the first try. I swear, they need to hire people that don't read from a book.
