Southwest Airlines Tells Girl outfit is too revealing to fly

Sorry, while it is short, I have seen much worse in public.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

How did I know this story would find it's way onto VV? :)

And yes, it was ridiculous that they thought this skirt was inappropriate. I didn't know nuns stewarded on Southwest Airlines.

Less chance of someone hiding explosives between their legs with short skirts.

The thing that I was most shocked by was that Southwest was the airline that did it.

I think the picture they took is likely after the skirt was pulled down. Check out the button placement on the skirt. That things has to be about 5-6inches long. It really does look like hooker wear.
This really isn't newsworthy in either case though. The airline has the right to refuse passage. Perhaps they got grief from some older passengers or maybe one of the female flight attendants thought it was trashy. If she was wearing the skirt wear it would normally fit, I doubt she would have gotten complaints from the (straight) male attendants.

I bet it was just an excuse anyway, trash is as trash does and I bet she was trying to pull some white trash princess shit and the hostie owned her ass.

In this day and age, I think if she were being obnoxious they would've more likely just called the cops and had her removed under interfering with a flight crew or something. And yes, the airline does have the right to refuse passage and I believe they even have something in the rules of carriage you agree to when you purchase a ticket that talks specifically about this sort of thing.

However, unless she was bare underneath and flashing a vertical smile at someone, I think what happened is a bit much. Not that I think she's entitled to compensation or anything which may be her goal. They did let her continue on.

The part I thought was truely hillarious was the one pundit I saw going on about how hot it was in the area at the time, 106 or something. Uh huh, like that *requires* that you get around wearing a belt as a skirt.

Her skirt really wasn´t that bad, and even if it was, its fucking retarded anyway because its fucking retarded to ban someone from flying for wearing a short skirt.

From what I understand, they didn't ban her from flying. They asked her to adjust her outfit so it was less revealing, which she did. The pic was obviously taken AFTER the skirt was pulled down, so we don't really kow how bad it was before. It sounds like some customers complained and its up to a business to try to make their customers happy, so I'm not quick to blame Southwest for prudery. If the girl was flashing her underwear (or more) to the public, it's reasonable that some customers became upset and complained.

She said she was "sitting" when they approached her, and every girl knows that skirts ride up on the body when one sits, so its very likely that the whole terminal had a nice view of her lady bits.

I don't see an issue here either. She was asked to cover up and she did. There really is no story here.
