Pick Your Favorite Elvis Movie
We all have a favorite one! Pick yours!
I had to remove one movie from the list to keep it under 30!
I went with Girls! Girls! Girls! but it was a tough decision!

Elvis sucks. I've never sat through more than a few minutes of his movies or music.

Christ, I picked the wrong movie! It's "Girl Happy", not "Girls! Girls! Girls!".
Come on people. Don't they play these movies on TNT or something? Has the new generation not experienced Elvis movies? They were before my time but I still saw most of them. People have too many choices these days if Elvis movies aren't being seen!

You can cut and past more than one option at a time with these new polls! Took me a few seconds! : )Fash wrote:winnow, you have wayyyyy too much free time on your hands... do you know how many rupees you wasted doing all those poll options?

I'm nearly 39. I've had the opportunity to see tons of these shitfests, but I've never been able to stomach sitting through one long enough to count. They really are shitty wastes of film. I hate Elvis' music, I hate his films and I hate his father for not pulling out.Winnow wrote:Come on people. Don't they play these movies on TNT or something? I'm 37 and they were readily available on Saturday afternoons and such when I was growing up, but I would always change the channel when they came on. If nothing else was on I'd just turn off the tv and read, or go outside and play, or pretty much anything but watch one. His music, on the other hand, I liked.

Re: Pick Your Favorite Elvis Movie
Elvis hated his own films as well but that's not the point! (he was jealous of the movies the Beetle, among others, here making)
They're campy classics! I didn't say they were with regard to acting, directing, or anything else.
I made this because someone at work mentioned an Elvis movie so we tried to come up with as many as we could think of. Only got like five or six titles but remembered the plots of several more.

I'm a transplanted Nebraskan. I've been a Huskers fan since before I could talk! I had to break out the avatar for football season. 5 days to go!!

Lets check ye'ole Huskerpedia:

#1 ranked, undefeated, 26 game winning streak, two time defending national champion Nebraska Cornhuskers mosey into Sun Devil stadium to take on unranked Arizona State. That's quite a stat line for Nebraska...ASU shut...you ...out! 19-0!
N doesn't don't come into our building without getting a beat down! And don't think it was a fluke. In 1975 the Cornhuskers were also the #1 team and came into Sun Devil stadium and lost 17-14.
As a side note, the Huskers had humiliated the Devils, 77-28, in Lincoln the year before in 1995. We got our revenge! rawr!

Elvis movies are garbage.
I have never been able to sit through more than 15 minutes of one.
Delete like 25 of the pointless options and give is a 'We dont watch shit movies' option.

That game is the reason for my hatred for all things Arizonan*. Of course, I've had to make an exception for Sam Keller this year. I almost went back to Lincoln for the ASU game the year before (we still get our season tickets) , but instead I rescheduled my trip back for my great grandmother's 105th birthday celebration later that year. I had to settle for the ISU blowout (73-14). The '95 team was sick. Our trip to Tempe that year was a gator raping.Winnow wrote:Lets check ye'ole Huskerpedia:

At least that ASU team worked its way up to #3 in the nation and was 20 seconds away from the National Championship so the loss didn't look so bad later in the season. You've got your Jake Plummers and Pat Tillmans to remember it by.
It was great for Devil fans but I'm just wondering wtf Nebraska fans were thinking. Had to be stunned. Even on the last drive. Nebraska was 1st and goal near the end of the game and ASU still stopped them to secure the shutout. Tough year for ASU fans as well with the Rose Bowl fiasco, losing to OSU after a classic Jake Plummer QB scramble to take the lead with a minute or so left in the game. I wish Michigan was our Rose Bowl opponent that year. We can beat them!
