Shooter

Post by Sylvus »

I just watched Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg on a recommendation from someone, and it was much better than I was expecting. Great action/sniping scenes, if you like playing a sniper in video games I think you'll really like it.

Definitely worth renting, it had some parts that were predictable and a couple twists, but I was thoroughly entertained.

I saw this one on a flight from Calgary to Toronto a few weeks ago and I agree. Great flick.

I don't know how many times I have forgotten to add this one to my Netflix queue. Thanks for the reminder!

I wouldn't have given that a second thought, except.. Friends of mine recently flew with their young daughter and that movie played. I don't know about you, but personally I think there's way too much bloodshed and gore for a 6-8 year old to watch. This was a daytime flight btw, not some midnight redeye.

I mean, it's cool and stuff to watch, but it's not "Family Friendly" as it was rated on the Continental (I believe) flight.

Great. Siji's going to complain and ruin it for the rest of us! Next thing you know, movies like Flight 93 won't be available to watch on airlines.

You know, I never really thought about it but you're absolutely right. My flight was an afternoon one and there was most likely kids on board this plane when I flew(flight was with Air Canada).

Watched this last night on these recommendations, though at home and not on a jet, and loved it. The sniping scenes were completely badass, especially in the snow.

Yeah, the snow scenes were wicked. So was the scene when he was standing in that rowboat.

and I laughed my ass off in the snow when he shot that guy's hand off, and then the rest of his arm off.

Still waiting to see this. Read the book over 15 years ago and enjoyed it.

It followed the Hollywood formula to a "T". It was still enjoyable though, but I think it had 2 false endings, which I think took away a lot from the movie.

It was the Bourne Mary Mark.
