Bioshock, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Assassins Creed etc

Been checking on these games lately. Looks like Bioshock comes out Aug. 21st, Blue Dragon on the 28th, Assassins Creed I think is shortly after that. Mass Effect is set for November. ( I can't check the other release dates since I'm at work behind this damn firewall).

Bioshock looks like a must have, I've been following the updates and such on this game, and it looks like it's gonna be pretty badass! I remember System Shock 2 being really cool, and that was a long time ago. The gameplay looks great, graphics look amazing, and I like the idea that you can customize HOW you play the game so well with all the different plasmids etc. I can't wait to try and take down a Big Daddy and decide if I wanna snuff out one of those little girls to get a nice supply of adam or if my conscious will win out. Really can't wait for this game! I'm pretty sure I'll pick it up for my 360 just so I can play it on my big screen TV although it might actually PLAY better on the PC.

Mass Effect looks pretty sweet. I liked all the KOTOR games, and the idea of choosing your moral future. The graphics look nice, and I'm a big fan of RPG's. Although this looks like a nice blend between shooter and RPG. I wonder how the combat will be. From the videos I've seen it looks kind of Gears of War'ish, but not quite as intense. Personally I think in this game I'd like a bit of a more turn based or somewhat non-real time approach. Kinda like the KOTOR games I suppose. The combat in those was fun to me, so if they stay along those lines then it should be cool. From the previews I've read it looks like you can choose HOW you want to handle combat which is good. I like space games as well, and the idea of being able to go around exploring planets etc looks like it could add a lot of fun!

Blue Dragon is something I've been waiting for for awhile now. Again, I'm a big RPG fan, and Xbox historically has had very slim pickings in this genre. Oblivion was a lot of fun, but it somehow got old to me. I never did finish it. I think I just got too sidetracked in it and lost my focus. I played Enchanted Arms for the 360, and although a lot of people bashed it, I enjoyed it. Wasn't the greatest RPG for sure, but I played it through and beat it. I think I personally just prefer turn based RPG's. (Wizardry 8 FTW!) Blue Dragon looks like it's gonna be pretty epic, and the graphics although cartoony look to be pretty impressive. I'll certainly be picking this one up!

Assassins Creed looks pretty sweet. The demo's and movies make it look badass. I watched the actual gameplay video and it looks pretty decent. I'm curious to see if it gets repetitive or not jumping around rooftops, but it could be that the gameplay has enough depth to make it badass.

I know Halo 3 comes out in the next couple months, also theres a few other really good looking games coming up that I can't check on atm (I HATE Blue Coat firewall!!!).

So what's everyone looking forward to right now, and what are your impressions so far?

Edit: I really hate the filter for OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS. I know it's a lot, but I write OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS. It saves me a click on the spacebar and it looks better imo. I hate looking at one of my posts and realizing that I've used the word OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS instead of A LOT like 8 times and feeling like I have to go back and edit it. I've done it hundreds of times and still haven't learned from it! Can we stop the madness and take that filter out finally?!?!

I am really looking forward to assasin's creed myself, gonna buy it as soon as it hits the shelves. I am kind of hoping it will be the next Prince of Persia kind of game.

If you know it's a lot, then write a lot. Otherwise you're just condoning the whole AOL-retardspeak movement that has been assaulting our language since the internet's inception. Bioshock is really the one I'm interested in. Hopefully the games stores around here will stock more than one copy of the PC version.

Mass Effect looks interesting too, but that's 360 exclusive, yeah? No PC version announced? So it may be a while before I really get to mess with it.
