I don't see anything wrong with making fun of Mr Rogers. I watched the show as a kid as well and would gladly have my kids (should I have any) watch the show. However, just because he was such a great influence for a crapton of kids does not leave him immune to cracks...I mean really. His iconic status is easy material for comedic writing. And for those that are not familiar with Rogers' work, I can see it is pretty easy to have certain impressions of the man, especially with the now-common occurences of priests giving the ol' hail mary to the kiddies.
