Interesting to know that I am not the only father that plays with his children.
My 11 year old daughter (who lives with her mother across the country) and I play WoW together twice a week. My three year old daughter (lives with me) likes to sit on my lap and play Viva Pinata with me.
Of course getting outside and going for a bike ride, a nice nature walk, or just playing together with the dog in the yard is fun too - but when the weather is bad, or the 100F+ heat is brutal - or in the case of my 11 year old...when you are separated by distance, playing video games together (especially MMO's which are like big virtual chat rooms) is a really neat way to bond.
Regards,
Moon

My 4 year old daughter was actually upset that I stopped playing WoW for Vanguard. She got used to it after a while but when I stopped playing VG she got all excited and asked if I was going to play WoW again. Sadly for her I told her no. She liked to run around with new characters that she'd create on her own and just explore buildings and such.

I don't play much of anything anymore. But, I do still have a sub to CoH and my 5 year old son simply loves that game. He calls it, "Guy Game" and loves to jump high or fly around. We give him about an hour a day immersing hisself in the world of running around and virtual fighting. My 12 year old daughter just likes making characters there; Sims2 is her game of choice.

Eric plays WoW with his son all the time. I think having the game to bond over has been really good for their relationship.

Have any of you fathers tried out Toon Town from Disney? It's quite fun, and totally safe for the kids.
I know Toon Town is really old news, but in case anyone hadn't heard of it I thought I'd mention it.

Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

I checked it out when it first released for the free trial. It did not have the "wow" factor to hold my kids attention. Granted, that was just my daughter at the time as my son was to young to enjoy more than Baby Einstein.

Forget the kids, ToonTown is a great game for anyone.
I played in the beta. Things changed a bit but I'm sure it's mostly the same. Fun times.
