Yahoo Mail
I haven't been able to get into my yahoo mail in the past few weeks. The format of it is all fucked up, and when I can actually get in and see my messages in my inbox, if I click on one it opens but the body of the message never shows up.
I have tried this with and without the new beta with the same results.. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm pissed because my fucking ogame un/pw is not auto completing and I need to get it from my yahoo mail..

Re: Yahoo Mail
I sometimes get that but switching to the old format usually fixes it. If not try clearing IE cache and cookies.

Re: Yahoo Mail
Yeah I have tried that a few times with no luck (in both Firefox and IE). Now I am going to get gang raped on Ogame since I can't log in, perfect.

Yeah, I use gmail - but I have yahoo for anything that could possibly lead to me getting spam, including ebay, paypal, etc.Xyun wrote:http://www.gmail.com
I am thinking I can use that new function of gmail that will check your other email services, then do the "forgot my password" thing from ogame.

gmail has retardedly effective spam filters. and if you are concerned about getting an account spammed.. then get a 2nd gmail account.

Re: Yahoo Mail
I don't typically use the new email accounts but of them, gmail is the best.
Don't most ISP's offer web based mail browsing now? I think I can create up to 9 email accounts with Cox and can access them via a web interface. Seems fine for the beta email account I have to catch all the crap emails while preserving the sanctity of my primary email account.
Unless you're doing something illegal, the speed of your ISP email account is going to be snappier than the web based accounts. (and you can still check them from anywhere in the world which was the draw of web email)
If you want the "permanent" email account that's not associated with an ISP you may switch in the future, just buy a domain for less than $10.00 and forward your emails to whatever email account you want. (bubbagrizz@greenbayfanboi.com, etc) That's the best way imo. Email forwarding is great for a lot of things. I have emails from a couple domains all going to one account.

In case anyone missed it, gmail is now allowing 20MB attachments to be sent and received.

Re: Yahoo Mail
I love how gmail allows you to scrape in other POP accounts now. I can't get to any of my vanity domain emails via POP from work. Or I couldn't, until gmail allowed that. Now when I'm not at home to use Outlook, I can get at all my email and send/receive via gmail from anywhere in the world. It's very nice.

Yeah I just tried and it wouldn't let me do it either. Then I went to yahoo for the 50th time in the past 3 days and it just started working again...cadalano wrote:as of 3-4 years ago I couldnt snatch my yahoo mail remotely w/o a premium account. might be different now

I haven't had any issues at all with my yahoo mail. I have not tried out their new beta yet though.

Re: Yahoo Mail
I've been using the yahoo mail beta for ages now.
It's tied into my Rogers (my ISP) email account.

Re: Yahoo Mail
I use Yahoo as well because it's also tied to my ISP (SBC/AT&T). I prefer the new webmail over the old but not all of the options, such as AddressGuard, are available yet in the new one. So I tend to switch back and forth.
