Do you ask yourself the same thing when you buy electronics? I looked at a previous post of yours, you claimed you spent 900$ on a projector. What would of happened if your kid broke his leg? At least you can watch movies now.

Awwww Momopi, what a face on that dog! Gorgeous.

We paid 600 for our Saluki, we bargained with the breeder ><, they are great people though, we drove from B'ham to Milwaukee to get him. He had clear medical testing for heart, hips, thyroid and elbow.
Not that I don't love pound dogs and have adopted many in the past. But our latest Saluki is just about the best thing since fuzzy slippers.

You know what's funnier than the dumb ass spending 3200 on a pet's operation? Your stupid ass actually searching for prior posts looking for a post regarding something I have bought.

it's also kind of dumb to think that 3200 is a lot of money for everyone, just because your income is a joke.

If someone has insurance and spends 3200 on a pet, doesn't that make your fist point invalid?

It also took me less than 10 seconds to find it since I narrowed my search to Computers/Technology. You see, I knew what I was looking for, I have a very good memory.

There's a big difference between taking proper care of your pet and going to the extremes of things like major operations and chemo. Anyways, I've luckily have never been put to the choice. Maybe today I laugh at people that spend that much on their pets and maybe tomorrow you'll see my ass dropping a couple Gs on my dog as well.

kyoukan obviously doesn't know valryte is a Columbian drug lord or she'd already be slurping on his cock trying to trade up.

LOL, I almost forgot you're like the only one left around here that's actually met me haha. But Winnow lies, I know nothing about the trafficking of illegal contraband...everything I do today is legit.

And notice the glee with which they begin talking about their defective mutts. Fucking people, I swear.

masteen wrote:The purebreed business is such a fucking racket. They sell you these thousand dollar dogs with assloads of health issues caused from inbreeding, and then you have to fork over even more just so the poor critters can walk.

Not ONE purebreed animal I've been exposed to hasn't had health issues of some kind. From my friend's Doberman who only grew 3 teeth, to another buddie's golden retriever that had hip problems from the time it was 3 months old to the day he put it down 4 years (and almost $10 grand) later, all these supposedly "pure" animals are fucking defective.

Meanwhile, they have mutts at the pound that recovered from gunshots pretty much purely on their stout constitutions who can't find a home because people just gots to have that purebreed paper.
You know very little about breeding and breeders. Because your friends bought kennelfarm dogs and did not do their research is noones fault but theirs. Responsible breeders xray EVERY Dams hips and put it in writing their dogs will be healthy. Line breeding by responsible parties is the best thing for a breed. Many mutts become AKC registered breeds (cockapoo, labradoodle, etc) because of great breeding programs only to have people come along and farm the dogs now that they are worth something

Let's see... waste a bunch of time researching breeders to see if I'm going to end up with a dain-bramaged, cross-eyed money sink with fancy papers, or go down to the pound and grab a mutt that will thrive on Dog Chow and fetch. Tough decision there.

Also, if $3200 is such a small sum to you, wouldn't it be better, from an altruistic POV, to donate that money to your homeless or womens' shelter or something? If you spend more on your fucking dog than you do on improving soceity, I don't EVER want to hear another fucking thing from your hole about what a shithole this country is.

Actually when I bred I donated one fixed female of every litter to the seeing eye foundation if you must know. 2 of my pups actually made it through the program.

Researching the parents of my pups is, as a parent (of both a dog and children), being responsible and knowing what I am in for, I had a pound dog and I have had (and about to own again) purebreeds, both certainly have their positives and negatives and I have seen just as much money thrown at mutts as I have purebreeds. The goal of a line breeding once you understand the basic concept is to breed out defects and breed in health and other traits considered positive. The problem is with farm lots who back to back breed etc etc. If you are going to own a purebreed you can look at it's family tree and see very clearly if it was linebred without wasting more than a few minutes, you can also usually see pictures at least as far back as the grandsire and see if the breeding makes sense as far as the breed standard or not. If there is an outcrossing there should be an obvious reason for it and the results should be obvious as well otherwise the current line should be stopped, fixed and sent off to pet homes for a substantial reduction. Once you know how to look at the geneology it takes all of about 20 minutes to do get a good idea. A quote from the man who breed my upcoming pup.
It is much like raising cattle. I raise purebred Angus because the breed has a lot going for them: great carcass traits, great mothering ability, best taste, moderate size and food intake, and so on. I sell bulls to commercial cattlemen who put the angus bulls on different kinds of cows to promote hybrid vigor in the calf crop.
Find a quote where I say this country is a shithole , I may have concerns about the direction this country is going, but I have never said this country is a shithole despite every effort of our current leadership.
