Obviously I can't vote on this because I'm not a menz, but I know this has been brought up before in IRC. I've found that most men will not admit to liking this but I can tell you that a good majority of guys that I've done this to came on fucking impact when I did it. The amount of topic avoidance in this thread is staggering. A lot of men are most probably very uncomfortable with this given that society associates this as a homosexual act.

Most men that are comfortable in their manhood won't have a problem saying that they enjoy this type of activity.

My guess is that it's a combination of fear and ignorance. Most guys are too hung up about letting something near their asses, so they never give it a shot. It becomes a self-perpetuating cycle.

Edit: as far as the subject goes, anal antics never did anything for me, so its not something I delve into. I also believe one should try new things if they are comfortable with the idea, but if they are not comfortable with it, then pressuring them is a horrible thing to do. I think some people spend too much time trying new things to convince themselves they are having "good" sex and I see that as little more than a sexual problem. Experimentation is one thing, but relying too heavily on "other" methods when the plumbing works just fine is a sign of bigger issues.

You bring up an important point that a lot of people seem to uneducated about. The spread of bacteria (E.coli is one) from the anus to the mouth, vagina or urethra can cause some nasty infections. Any anal play should be done with utmost concern for hygeine so that infection does not occur. Anything inserted in the anal cavity should either be wrapped in a condom (which is immediately disposed of) or washed with anti-bacterial soap immediately afterwards. Sticking these objects in mouths or vaginas is unsanitary and irresponsible. This goes for penises as well as fingers and dildos.
