Woo! Simone's still dead.
Having a shape shifter in the show is as bad as Elf Girl's power of suggestion...too powerful! I hope they don't abuse the convenience of impersonating another person too often. Glad someone is wearing a short skirt in the show now.
There's a lot of twists and turns going on for sure.
The only hokey part was Hiro's friend showing up in a security uniform.
Intense stuff going on between Peter, Silar and Suresh!
BTW, the 7 minute HD preview on NBC's website for the next 24 hours of Spiderman 3 is worth seeing. Much better than the Heroes Commercial! (a couple slow minutes in the beginning and then some serious action)

I thought she was more an illusionist? Cause she made the whole room that Simone's body was in change to not show her in there.Winnow wrote:Having a shape shifter in the show is as bad as Elf Girl's power of suggestion...too powerful! She is pretty hot though.
And did we learn the Haitian's name? I thought I heard someone call him "Sprague".

I was upset to the point of talking to the TV. So Hiro can walk up to the computer in the art vault, type in sword and get it like he's taking out cash at an ATM? And Ando was able to get a job as a security officer without getting a Visa, or taking a class to carry a handgun? That was just plain stupid and completely unbelievable. I felt cheated by how he got the sword and was able to teleport Ando to the future NYC, even though he had never done it before.Winnow wrote:The only hokey part was Hiro's friend showing up in a security uniform.
I was glad that Suresh was made to seem somewhat more intelligent, but the whole IV thing made him stupid again.
I still love the show, but sometimes they do shit (especially with Hiro and Ando) that boggles my mind. I'm really looking forward to the face-off between Sylar and Peter. Laser beam battle? pewpewpew?

Was Ando actually employed there do we know? I was thinking he could have just been in disguise. Hard to say which is more plausible though. Probably him getting a job with no visa; they'd notice him otherwise.Xyphir wrote:I was upset to the point of talking to the TV. As far as teleporting Ando to the future, which part do you feel cheated by? That he took someone with him? It's already been established that his timing is usually off and that he can travel to future NYC.

Foreign nationals who come to the US cannot be employed on a visitation visa. They need to apply for a work visa, which takes time. We had someone from Malaysia at my last company, and it's a pain in the ass to apply for that. The patriot act made getting a work visa that much harder. They're taking our jobs!
As far as teleporting Ando, I was annoyed that something Hiro had expressed confidence he could do something he had never done before. Maybe it was because he finally got the sword and could concentrate, or maybe Ando is like Peter, but that's a serious reach.
It was interesting to see how they tied Peter and Nathan's mom into this. Is she Bennet's superior? And how is she related to Linderman? She said she was protecting Claire, but I wonder what exactly that means. Is she tied to Hiro's father too? I was watching the opening credits, hoping to see George Takai. Oh well...

Suspension of Disbelief. There are also no mountains in, or around, Odessa Texas, but they keep showing them. If it upsets you so much that you talk to the TV, you might want to watch something else

Original 'Heroes' Artwork To Be Auctioned for Charity
NBC's hit-drama Heroes is living up to its name by auctioning artwork by renowned graphic illustrator Tim Sale exclusively on NBC.com with two separate auctions to begin on March 26 and April 2. All proceeds will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation.
Each week's auctions will feature two full-size autographed limited edition prints and drawings of artwork used in the show. The list of artwork includes "Exploding Man," "Eclipse," "Claire on the Stairs" and "Hiro and T-Rex." Bidding will go live on March 26 at 6 p.m. (PT) and will close at 12 a.m. (PT) on March 28. The second auction will go live at 6 p.m. (PT) on April 2 and close at 12 a.m. (PT) on April 4.
"We are thankful that Greg Grunberg, inspired by his own real-life hero, his son Jake, who has epilepsy, has joined with us to increase awareness of epilepsy," said Eric R. Hargis, President and CEO of the Epilepsy Foundation. "With the help of Greg, those like him, and partners like NBC, we can end the stigma associated with epilepsy in this generation."

If you missed out on the start of "Heroes" when it premiered in the fall, you don't have to wait for the DVDs. NBC has put all 18 episodes of the show online for a limited time. Granted, that's a lot of catching up to do if you're starting from scratch, but the show is off the air until April 23, so at least there's time.
The site doesn't say how long the episodes will be available, but when NBC did something similar in December and January, the videos stayed online until new episodes began to air. So, make like time-traveling hero Hiro and jet back to September!
Kinda slow for HEROES news. 11 more days 'til the next episode!

I think it's kind of interesting what they're doing next week. 5 years in the future, see what could happen if they don't save the world. Then I'm sure following that they'll go back and try to actually save the world.
It makes it feel more like a comic book.
That illusion chick is pretty hot, too bad she works for Julia Roberts' brother.

Check out the Novel. It ties together Future-Hiro's original visit to the past, why he went there and leads up to his encounter with Dorky-Hiro in the future.

Maybe the time delay makes a difference, because they were going to hide the body until after the election. Maybe by then he wouldn't have been able to heal himself. He'd be decaying?Winnow wrote:Clair didn't save Peter's life. The coroner would have eventually pulled out that glass shard!

But did Peter know they were going to stash his body before he told Claire that she saved his life?rhyae wrote:Maybe the time delay makes a difference, because they were going to hide the body until after the election. I suppose the line is ok as we can't assume that anyone would ever pull out that shard if his family buried him in cement to avoid a scandal!
Anyone catch Peter's brother saying "you weren't supposed to die this way", like he was pissed that Peter didn't stick around to blow up? He's evil!
I dunno, I don't think Peter would have woken up if claire hadn't been right next to him. He has the ability to recall his powers, but if he's dead, I don't think it would have been a natural thing for him to regenerate. It was claire sitting by his side in close proximity that caused her power to bleed over and revive Peter. Would never have happened naturally or if someone else had pulled out the glass.
Now on the flip side, I'm disappointed in Peter. What kind of guy turns invisible and then just stands there with his back turned to a guy that has a bunch of glass floating around him that he's obviously gonna fling out! I mean what a puss!!! He should have at least tried to sneak around Sylar or laid on the floor until after the glass was flung out or something!! Someone needs to teach that boy how to fight!

I've seen no evidence of Claire being able to heal someone other than herself (so far) and Peter was dead so his body/mind wasn't absorbing powers...if he can absorb powers while dead, we may see a super zombie Peter in a future episode.Kryshade wrote:I dunno, I don't think Peter would have woken up if claire hadn't been right next to him. He had already been close to Claire prior to that by the awards case in the hallway.Lynks wrote:We already saw Peter absorb powers when he was dead. After he jumped off the roof with Sylar, he cracked his head open. When Claire came next to him, he got better.
He picked up the Cop's powers the same way.
What about when the invisible man threw him off the roof? Or did he not completely die there before coming back?

if you were walking around and you came upon a tulip with tits, would you let it be for the rest of the world to enjoy.. or would you pick it and carry it off to a secluded area to motorboat them?

He said he had to remember what it was like being with that person and how it made him feel to use their power instead of forgetting them like Mr. Invisible told him to do, so I think he never died when he hit the car. Kinda hard to think about someone when you've got a big glass shard in the noggin (or they could be getting away from the feelings thing and he could have healed himself involuntarily when it was removed)
{{{(>.<)}}} (o.o) \\(^o^)// --- I DID IT!!!! -Hiro
I think Peter is able to focus the powers better now so that even if he isn't around the original person he still had the ability. Obviously he turned invisible just before getting smacked in the head with glass (which I too thought was lame that he was just standing there in front of Sylar) yet the guy who had that power was nowhere around. Healing ability would be no different. As soon as he 'died' I knew he wasn't dead and all someone had to do was pull out the glass to 'revive' him.
The major complaint I have about this episode is why did Mohinder let Sylar live? In the previous episode he was ready to kill him. Yet when he had the chance after knocking him out all he did was carry Peter off. Why not whack Sylar and be done with it?
Those two complaints aside I thought it was a pretty good episode.

As for the glass. Why didn't Peter use his telekinesis powers to shoot the glass at Sylar. He used the powers to throw Sylar across the room earlier in the scene. Perhaps he can only use one power at a time and he'd become visible before he could...although it's not like invisibility helped him much when he just stood there with his back turned. I'll have to see if he uses another power while flying or something.
Peter also could have been dazed from getting half his skull cut. He can reheal but I'm sure the pain might impact his ability to concentrate.

I'm also curious about this. Maybe they'll explain it in further detail, but I doubt it. Plot holes / poor writing really do bug the shit out of me.Aslanna wrote:The major complaint I have about this episode is why did Mohinder let Sylar live? Shrug, I just chalked it up to Mohinder having no idea how long Sylar would be out nor the sum total of all his powers, and knowing that the second Sylar wakes up he can kill him with his mind. Mohinder already thought he had the upper hand on Sylar, and Sylar nearly killed him.
He probably just grabbed Peter and gtfo.

Well, to me it's like this. Which of the following takes less time to perform and has the smallest chance of bringing Sylar back to consciousness - carrying an allegedly dead body out of an apartment or picking up a gun and shooting it? My money's on the latter.
Of course, I will admit I forget what happened to the gun Mohinder had. Did he just drop it on the ground or did Sylar destroy it / get rid of it in some manner?

I liked the "floating shards" thing that sylar did.. but then thought it was really lame that peter was facing AWAY from him so that when they flew out he caught one in the back of the head.. come on..
and even worse was the fact that sylar got knocked out by a MAP.. we just laughed at that point..
so yep, I'm the negative nancy
still diggin the show anyway ;p
