I know the feeling. In my case it's me being sick of everyone acting like a retard... But for you it's just that you are so right, and so high and mighty that - what's the point?

I am trying to figure out how these "it's not a democracy"posts can be. I sure know that in any other aspect of life (besides maybe when it comes to the government) when I pay money for something I expect to have people listen to what I say and actually consider it. But then again, I'm a clueless retard - what do I know.

I'll do my best to restrain myself from posting on these topics anymore, it would just kill me to know that I am annoying the likes of you.

What? Where are you coming up with this? What contributions? The copious amounts of intelligent information and opinions he blessed the Sports forum with?

Maybe it was the completely mindblowing and unexpected results from a certain ridiculous poll. I think we know which people are "inventing their own realities" now.

Give it time. There's 1000's of registered members. It's not over until at least half of them vote one way or the other. Can't say for sure if dormant accounts are never coming back!

I think you're looking at that incorrectly. Virtually everything that you pay money for has an individual or group of people who are in charge of it, be it a product or service, and they likely have a large customer base, or at least one that consists of more than one individual. Yes, most of those companies do their best to listen to their customers, but not at the expense of going against what the majority of their customers want.

We're no different here. I've seen your complaints, and they are noted. I see that you've donated in the past, and I appreciate that. We all do. Unfortunately there are also other people here who have donated, and some of those individuals have positions that conflict with your own. If an action pleases one person and displeases another, it is impossible to make both people happy. In that situation, the only right way to go is the way that pleases the most people, and in this case, I think a 2/3 majority is sufficient.

Many of those product or service providers that you pay money to also have rules, terms-of-service, EULA, etc. that define what someone can or cannot do with said product or service. If someone violates those rules, they often forfeit the ability to continue receiving the service or product, even if a fellow customer disagrees with that decision.

For an example that might relate more closely here, people who used certain exploits in Everquest were banned from the game. It negatively impacted the game experience for more of the people than were positively affected by it, even if it made that person and/or their whole guild enjoy the game more. The point being that SOE had a list of rules, and if you violated those rules you could be punished, though not everyone always was.

Fair enough, even though I said I wasn't open to changing my mind, if > 50% of the 3800+ registered users call for me to take back what I said and reverse my position, I'll do it. But I'm not considering it until everyone has voted.

You can't say that I'm inflexible.

Sounds reasonable on at least this point.

It will be a difficult task, but I'm confident I'll be able to eventually get that majority if I stick with it every day. Not really fair to have old members log on and not know what's going on.
