Wheel of Food
Quite possibly the greatest, most useful web page that has ever been created. You can leave your query as "lunch" or put in specific things like "steak" or "sandwich". Give it a whirl. Get it?

Just click on one of the handles and drag it to spin. Looks like it might have to be at a dead stop.
You need to blame Yahoo if it doesn't do your local area restaurants right, works pretty good for me. Or refine your search down from just "lunch" to a more specific category. Can put "bar" in, or I even typed in the name of a small town inside of one of the zip codes I tried and that worked.
And my main reason for this reply is that I went to Yahoo Local, just to see why they aren't giving you guys good restaurant selections, and found these reviews that made me laugh.

This is one of the few restaurants that I think deserves a 5 star rating. I love everything about it. It's a great place to take the kids, and it's also very cozy and romantic. The food is amazing, the prices are totally reasonable, and the service is almost always great. I go to Olive Garden about once a week, (I love the soup, salad and breadsticks) and the only time I ever had a bad experience was when a waitress said something extremely cruel to me. My husband told the manager who didn't seem to take it very seriously, but I didn't see her again that day. In fact, I haven't seen that waitress since then and I've been there many times. They really seem to value their customers.
Seriously?? Who writes a restaurant review for Applebees and Olive Garden?Erin J, re: Applebees wrote: Pretty good
I love Applebee's, I go there all the time. They have a lot of variety, and they are very child-friendly. I love their food and their service is pretty good. I would say I get good service about 3 times out of 5. If you get stuck with really bad service though, the manager will usually try to compensate.

It lists a fair amount of small places for my area, including Maggies (my favorite place to get thin crust pizza).
Olive Garden is crap, btw. It could be because I am sicilian and have been eating traditional italian foods my whole life. I assure you that if I any of you tried my grandma's spaghetti you would rate it above almost every place you have ever eaten.

This helped. I was able to get more of the places my girlfriend and I go by narrowing it down to the type of food rather than the meal.Sylvus wrote:You need to blame Yahoo if it doesn't do your local area restaurants right, works pretty good for me.
