Night of Upsets!

Discuss! Did it go as planned? Anyone bet any money?

I really enjoyed this PPV. While it was certainly a night of upsets it didn't mean the fights weren't still great.

There were certainly a couple that I was very disapointed with; namely the Rogerio KO in 23 seconds and the Silva vs Henderson fight. The first just because it seems like such a fluke, with the Nog's known for iron chins getting KO'd by a left hook just doesn't seem right. The second because I was just very disapointed in Silva's performance. I don't know if getting KO'd for the first time by Crocop took something out of him or he was just off his game but it didn't seem like Silva in the ring. Wasn't agressive, didn't throw practically any kicks or knees and just seemed to sit back and try counterpunching. I am pleased that Shogun should be able to get a shot at the title now at lest since Henderson holds it.

Gomi vs Diaz was a great fight and very enjoyable, Hansen vs Ireland and Shogun vs Overeem I also liked.

Some people would say that Crocop destroyed Wands spirit ie it was psychological, others say he was ill.

Either way, no more Decision-Dan, now Demolition-Dan!

Did you notice, when Wand left and went for the exit, someone in the audience shouted " No Chuck For You! " ?

Haha, I didn't notice that actually. I was probably too surprised at the ending to hear it! Even with this loss I still think Wanderlei would crush Chuck in a match and I really hope he makes a successful comeback from this, he is easily one of my favorite fighters.
