Who are better pilots?

I can't decide, because the first two didn't really have to deal with turbulence, being in outer space. But it looks like the rebels in A New Hope are flying with a similar wing-to-canopy distance as the Blue Angels in formation. Is it tougher to fly an F/A-18 Hornet or an X-Wing?

Keep in mind I'm speaking only from the perspective of Star Wars Episode IV. It's also somewhat unfair to include Luke Skywalker in the discussion, because he cheats and uses the force.

I'm gonna vote the Rebels here. Because they let the chubby guy with the beard fly.

Another good question is: Why do the Stormtroopers wear all that armour? I have never seen one get hit and not die. Granted it is more dramatic looking than Speedo briefs but has apparently the same armour value.

Luke: I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters.

Here is something for you to think about. Navy Pilots land on a carrier in the middle of the ocean with no lights on the boat thats pretty damn impressive especially considering the boat is going up/down and side to side the whole time.

I've seen the Blue Angels twice, the Thunderbirds (about) 10 times and the Snow Birds once. The Blue Angels put on the best show, in my opinion, but the first time I saw a real air show it was the Snow Birds and they were very impressive.

Gotta vote for the Rebels, even discounting Luke's cheater force use - simply because the Rebels have had to hone their imperial-avoidance skills for years!

Meanwhile... the blue angels weren't even in Star Wars! So CLEARLY that discounts their meager earth-bound tactics!

I was an Air Force brat for 16 years and saw dozens of airshows. My two favorites are the Thunderbirds and the Frecce Tricolori (Italian).

The Millennium Falcon is huge compared to X-Wing and TIE Fighters yet Han and Chewy were negotiating the Death Star's canals while taking out TIE Fighters.

Also have to give props to the Falcon for not being a generic symmetrical ship with the cockpit being located on the right side!

Hell Lando flew it inside the Death Star's super structure...The best rebel pilot by far is Wedge...he survived all 3 films (I only count the real three...:))...
