When Simone got shot the first thought that went through my mind was, 'Take that, Midnyte's heart!"

Am I a bad person?

One can only hope. I was tired of the Simone character and would be glad to have her out of the way.

Overall the last episode wasn't bad. Only (minor) thing that annoyed me was when they came back to Hiro / Ando they were only then just putting Hope in the back of the police car and it was the middle of the morning / day. It was dark when it all went down and the cops originally showed up!

I just hope they let the plot go to where it needs to go, and don't try and stretch the show on and on forever.

The writer said that season one will have a definitive ending and season two will start a new storyline so this current storyline has to stretch until the end of the season at least.

That's a pretty weak troll.

The problem I had/have with Simone is her character is annoying and really serves no purpose. Here's my impression of her involvement in the show:

"I love you Isaac"
"I don't love you Isaac"
"I love you Peter"
"Where's Peter?"
"Find Peter."
"Here's your key back."
"Find Peter."
"Here's your key back."

Get on with it already!

I rewatched the last episode again and a few more things I found out of place:

The hearing lady. She said rap cancelled out her ability (lolz) which is why she didn't here them come up during the day. Yet when she was working on the car at night she heard Syler's heartbeat even though she was listening to rap! (Least I think she was. I'd have to watch that part again).

The Nissan product placement is getting old. When they did the shot of Mohinder and Syler driving up to the super hearing lady the first time I wasn't sure if they were trying to establish the fact that they were in Montana or that they were driving a Nissan. And episodes with Hiro/Ando they had to mention the car by make (Versa). Who does that!

Tonights episode is a veritable avalanche of information and answers!
[Show]
Wow, that was a great episode, zero filler it seemed like, and it was over far too quickly. So we know what Parkman's part is going to be now, Bennet's partner. The girl at the end that was there when they were monitoring Parkman, was that the chick who can connect with computers that got him involved with Nuke in the first place?

The part with Claire coming out of the house scorched and healing... well, I'm sure there was tons of things "wrong" with that whole sequence, like they'd all be suffering from radiation poisoning and some shit, but it was a great shot ;p Good thing her hair regenerates so well too!

I knew Sulu was going to be a key player in what was going on, and in pretty much the role I thought he'd have. Having young Hiro there was cool, tho would they have had Gameboys at his age then? I dunno! I'm waiting to find out what power his sister is going to inevitably manifest.

Don't quite understand people complaining about the details of a show about make believe super powers.. but anyway. Turn your mind off and just enjoy the show.

The commercials are killing this series for me. Tonights episode wasn't as bad as last weeks, but it's still annoying as hell.

The effects on Claire exiting the house were pretty nifty. The ones of nuculear man.. not so much.

Hiro's dad being who he seems to be, doesn't make much sense when you take into account that he let his son go.. Didn't Hiro tell his dad he had powers?

Curious what power Simone is going to have that lets her recover from bullet wounds. So far no heroes have had duplicate powers. Would suck to have her regenerate like Claire imo.

Least the lawyer guy wasn't in this one. Much h8 for him.

Game Boy was released in 1989 so it fits the timeframe, had one of the first ones myself. Used 6 AA batteries I think which powered it for like 6 hours max. Good ole blurry screen and Batman was like 8 pixels.

[Show]

I think Peter healed Simone using Claire's powers. Dunno if another hero that Sylar absorbed could project their powers into another of if Claire can do it as well. Just a guess. Loved the episode btw, even if everyone in the house should be dead from radiation poisioning or flat out bursting into flames.

Yea, only thing that bugged me was how his nuclear power was functioning.... I mean... first off, why would only the inside of the house burst into flames, then, why wouldnt HRG be dead...

Ok, so Ill work on my suspension of disbelief... but yea, overall great episode

Maybe because we'd like it to make sense on a consistent basis? They are valid criticisms regardless of how "make believe" the story is.

Hopefully none. They did say a character was going to die during sweeps. All the other deaths were pretty trivial including Malsky.

I assume he means Nathan Petrelli. Politician not lawyer.

Great episode. This episode was all about Mr Bennett. It took a bullet to the gut, but I gained a little respect for him.

I DVR the show and watch it later the same night so I can fast forward through the commercials.

They packed a lot of info into this episide with flashbacks and kept it moving at the same time. It didn't feel like is was dragging at all.

Shame about Simone still being alive. I guess maybe we'll find out about her and Jessica's two episode delayed trek to kill the Politician might make it into the next show.

Good point about Clair's hair growing back...also, she can heal but she had to be in incredible pain being burned on 100% of her body...I don't think she'd just strut out like that even if she does heal.

Sooooo glad the bullshit memory loss storyline of Clair and her mom is over and we can get into some action with Clair on the run and the Hatian not wiping Hero minds all the time.

I missed the first five commercials during the show for the Black Donnellys...glad they squeezed in a sixth.

Oh. So she's still alive? Bah. That's unfortunate. Was that in a preview for the next episode or something? I download the episodes so don't see those. Or commercials. Cuts the show to 42 minutes rather than 60. That's a big time savings!

Those sort of things I don't mind as it's needed to make the story go. Othewise Parkman and Bennet would have been dead from the amount of radiation they were exposed to. Oh that's right, hiding behind a kitchen cabinet is good protection from a raging nuclear furnace. I think I remember seeing that in those old safety things they made in the 50-60s about what to do in case of a nuclear strike.

But, no, those things don't bother me. It's things like a scene going to commercial when it's night and coming back to the daylight. Things like Clairs mom suddenly going from a coma (or something) to the next day going home and looking, for the most part, fine with no real explanation.

So to sum up. I'm not looking for 100% realism since it is entertainment but that doesn't mean the storytelling/making has to be sloppy.

If you watch all of the shows in order, you will see that the night/day thing happens ALL of the time. I am guessing they shoot every scene in both settings. The way I noticed it the most was in the recaps at the beginning of each episode.

I dont think Simone will survive the next episode. Shes a dead girl. The preview showed her all bloodied and talking. Im hoping its more of a mental thing that will either bring Isaac and Peter together, or turn them into complete enemies.
Or maybe she does survive the gunshot, but Nathan learns of what happened, and instead of explaining the situation to the police, he finishes her off.

Yeah, in the preview for next week it showed her standing up with a bloody shirt on. She said something to one of those guys, sounded like she was being sarcastic or something, iirc.

In the flashback when Sulu gives baby Claire to HRG, were they on that roof with the pigeon coop that Claude and Nathan Petrelli were practicing on? It sure looked like it. Isn't that the Deveaux Building, that Simone's dad owned? Does that mean that Simone is somehow tied to Sulu's company and HRG's bosses?

That was in fact the same rooftop. I was under the impression that the appartment fire had been in texas but I do suppose that all this could've happened in NY, which would make a lot more sence that Nathan Petrelli living in Texas for a part of his life.

*edit* I was right. The fire and the appartment where they got Claire was in Texas. At least that's what this weel's comic states over at nbc.com.

Yes, they planted her dying father into his care, and planted her into a relationship with Isaac before he started to manifest at all. I'll be pretty disgusted if she's part of a conspiracy of some sort.

I haven't read any of this thread, because I don't want to break my brain.

I'm just adding that I just started watching the show from the beginning earlier this week. I'm through the first seven episodes and I'm hooked like a crackhead!

I'll catch up on this thread after I'm caught up on the episodes.

I know not to check this thread hours before the current episode airs on the West Coast but if downloading it or something, don't post spoilers at least until it officially airs on the East Coast.

The reason for this is people that actually do keep up with the show like to speculate up until the day of the show without really wanting to know what happens.

Just spoiler tag anything that is revealing something that hasn't even aired yet. There's a lot of spoiler sites out there that know things that happen several episodes ahead of time.

Nothing was really revealed but now I have my hopes up that Simone is dead still.

Looking forward to this one!

Who posted a spoiler to something that hasn't aired yet? Simone being alive was in the preview for the next episode which aired last week.

Actually, it has officially aired on the East Coast.. of Canada. Global, a network up here, has shown the past 2 episodes on Sunday night. I don't know why. That being said, yeah, it's just polite not to post spoilers about it the night before, but maybe Miir didn't know it was only showing on Sunday's in Canada. I doubt it tho ;)
