I went to edit it again to add multiple choice in one options, but I learned.. You are able to edit it until you (or anyone?) votes.

I know that used to be available for the person who posted. Mods still have that ability. I'd be happy to edit it for you, just let me know what you need.

I own all 3 (only got the PS3 because the husband "needed" a bluray player and we got it 25% off).
I can honestly say Wii > 360 > every other console ever made > PS3.

I own all of the consoles except a PS3. I'm not super interested in one as yet but I can see myself getting one at some point.

As of right now my favourite is the 360. Mainly for its online capabilities as I don't give a fuck about HD-DVD or any of that non-gaming-related horseshit.
The damn thing could do with running a little cooler and a fuckload quieter though. One thing in the PS3's favour is that it's utterly silent.

I heard a rumour that EA are predicting the PS3 will garner no more than 40% market share in this generation. That is something of a self-fulfilling prediction given EAs influence in the software market. . .

That's an interesting assertion, but could it have to do with (and I'm asking here, not trying to be a douchebag) the fact that EA's titles are primarily sports/driving related?

Once Madden stops coming out on PS2/XBox 180, then I believe quite a few consoles will be moved the week of that release.

Like it or not, that game is huge and will move systems. If EA wants to do good on their claims here, they'll put all the ressources they can on making both versions of Madden great and with the same features on both systems.

I don't think it really matters. EA are an order of magnitude more huge than any other developer/publisher. Where does an 800lb gorrilla sit?
This prediction is the considered forecast of an enormous company with a vast market share to protect. Getting it wrong would be badong.

They may "just" do sport/driving games (not really true, btw) but check the figures for top-selling titles in 06 in all the european and US markets. If EA has fewer than 5 titles in the top 10 of EVERY country I will be surprised.
