I'll be the first to share:
I was living in an apartment with my wife (we weren't married yet). My mom was the apartment manager and her bosses had some guy that was a friend of their father that they let move in across from us. Well, this guy was a sleezeball. He sat out on the community landing all damn day smoking and just sitting there. (we lived on the 2nd floor, 4 doors, 2 to each side when you get to the top landing. His door was directly across from ours). It got to be that we hated to leave or come home to our apartment because this guy was constantly out there smoking and hacking up a lung, and you couldn't walk by without him stopping you and trying to engage in some dumb ass conversation. (I'm a personable fellow, but this guy like I said was a sleezeball). When I say he sat outside all day, I'm dead serious. This guy spent about 8 hours a day sitting in a little lawn chair right outside his door.
Well, eventually things got worse, he started trying to play with the little girl that lived next to him, her parents once came over to the guys apartment because he had a 7 year old girl (their daughter) in there with him, by himself. They basically told him that he had better not ever have their daughter in his apartment. So the sleeziness gets worse.
Well it turns out that this guy hit hard times and couldn't pay his rent anymore. (I should mention he was only paying half rent from the beginning since he knew the landlords father). Well, after a month or two, they finally got pissed off that this guy would take advantage of their generosity like that and had him evicted.
This is where it gets good... The guy still wouldn't move out. They had a court order that said that he had to vacate by a certain date. That date was fast approaching. I came home one day and the guy stops me and says he needs to ask me a question. He shows me a Dell advertisement and asks if its a good deal. Well this was about 8 years ago and at the time is was a very nice system. I tell him it's a good deal and he tells me he's gonna order two of them, one for him and one for his daughter. A few days later the guy tells me that he ordered the computers and that they are arriving in like 5 days. (Can you see where this is headed?)
Ok, so it's like 4 days before the sheriff and the landlords and my mom are gonna actually throw this guys shit out on the street. The guy at this point was actually out of the apartment but his stuff was still there. It's like 6 days later and I'm wondering if his computers have arrived. I open up his door (it wasn't locked since he had lost his keys somehow) and there on the floor of his living room in a brand new box is a new dell desktop system. Now, I know what your thinking, and no I didn't steal it out of his apartment... that would have been WRONG!
Well, eviction day arrives, and everyone is all to happy to help. This guy has been such an ass among other things that we were more than happy to "help" him move. The sheriff that was there was good friends with the landlords and my mom, so he basically said that it would be ashame if some of the guys stuff got broken. The guy was there that day because he knew that all his shit was getting thrown on the street. Now I'm not sure if you all know how this works, but you have to leave the property and are not allowed back on it. All your shit is moved to the closest public place (the street). Here we are throwing this guys shit off the 2nd floor balcony. His couch, his dresser, his bed... everything flying off the second floor balcony to crash into the parking lot. It was awesome!! Before you feel bad, trust me, this guy deserved everything he got an more! Well, the guy was smart enough to grab one of the desktop systems and put it in his car. The other box though he couldn't fit in his car so he put it on the hood of his car and drove the car next door to the community center parking lot which was on the other side of a big privacy fence.
Let me say real quick that anything that is on public property that is not confined to personal property (i.e. inside your car) is considered public property. I'll make a long story short... the guy is keeping a hawk eye on his car the whole time because he doesn't want anyone stealing the computer off the hood of his car. He's sitting in the ditch where all his now broken furniture is lying. He's about 100 yards away from his car. One of the maintenence guys sets it up to distract the guy so that I can go over and snatch the computer off the hood of this guys car. Well, it works. He turns his head to talk to the guy, (I had crept over to the car before hand, it was an elaborate scheme we set up!), I grab the box and take off running. The only problem is, I've got to run around behind the apartments and this 7 foot wooden fence is in the way. I think the fence ends around back, but it doesn't.... I'm stuck!! I've got limited time because this guy is gonna notice his computer missing and come looking, and here I am running up and down this fenceline trying to think of what the hell to do. I'm carrying a 50lb box with me too! I can't toss the computer box over the fence cuz it'll smash it all to hell. I set it down in front of a car that was parked there (out of line of sight) and go to get my car to pick it up. Well, this guy that was pulling out of the center sees me and asks me what the hell I'm doing. I tell him nothing and run around the block back to my apartment. I get in my car to go over and pick up the computer and I shit you not, as I'm about to pull into the parking lot, I see that guy that asked what was going on leading a sheriff into the parking lot. He shows the sheriff the box and at this point I'm scared shitless because I think I'm going to jail for theft.
I wait in my apartment and all of a sudden I hear someone coming up the stairs. I'm sure it's the police, I'm freaking out. Someone knocks on the door and I open it and it turns out to be the maintenence guy telling me to go get the computer! He says the sheriff came over and asked who's computer it was, the maintenence guy tells him it belongs to the guy that's being evicted and that people have been stealing his shit all morning. The sheriff laughs and tells the guy that if he wants the computer he had better go get it quick. Well, we head down, grab the box and sure enough, it was the box that had the tower case in it. (I should also mention that this box was unmarked at the time, and I had a sinking feeling I may have been doing all this for a 19" CRT monitor.)
I was the proud new owner of a brand new high end Dell system that I had stolen right out from under that guy's nose!

Sorry for the long read, hope it was worth it! Anyway, who else has a good story of some good ol' fashion wrongdoing?
