This games looking pretty interesting. I don't, nor will I in the near future, own a PS3, but the site/lore of the game is pretty intriguing. Check out the site and its timeline of the 20th century.

It's really quite good. The maps are very well made and look very real, but they used a lot of black lines and slightly chalky looking colours that make everything sort of surreal looking. The enemies are a lot smarter than they are in games like Gears of War, and the weapons are interesting enough to make me want the next one. It's got a great story attached to it and a cool protaganist (although he doesn't talk).
It isn't exactly a killer app but it is a very solid fps. I generally tend to not like fps on consoles but this one made me play to the end.

I played this the other night. When I decide to pick up a PS3 I'll be grabbing this, and I'm not even a huge FPS fan. I actually dug this more than Gears, but I only got to play that one for half an hour, so it may get better.
I don't see that happening for at least 6 months though. Great game, but not a $700 great game.

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable, let's prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all. - Douglas Adams

Here's a very good review of upcoming games for the PS3 and 360 scheduled for 2007.
There's some good ones for both consoles but it appears the 360 has a few more to choose from that aren't multi platform. Either way, it's a good breakdown on what to expect broken down into genres for the next year.

I played this for a couple of days at my friends house (long enough to go through the single player) and I thought gears was better in almost every way.
And the draw of 40 on 40 online is not for me either - I like the smaller 4 on 4 games in gears, but I did like the game as well though.. just not enough to buy a PS3 just for it.
