people can turn on the news and see images of a little boy with his arms missing, 2 days to live and crying,or a van blown up full of old people, while they show home videos of him with sad music in the backround, saying it was caused by the americans...and 50 thousand more people will be against the war

people can turn on the news and see happy iraqis kissing americans and a statue falling down, or a "heroic" rescue and everyone will be gun hoe about supporting the war

polls can be shown more people are against the war, boooo, but a higher percentage are changing there minds! yaaaaaay, people can be shown a poll that says the presedents support is soaring, yaaaaaaaaay! or that more people in the world hate americans! boooooooo


The only way in this modern day in age anyone can have a valid opinion is to actually have inside information or have a high ranking position in one of the governments involved, or thats at least what i have concluded

To unequivocally believe there is no way that Iraq has WMD anywhere buried is pretty naive. There could be crap buried there that no one will ever find....how hard would it be to bury a couple nukes or containers of gas in the desert? If you had to bet your life that no one will EVER find anything there, would you do it?

With that being said, I seriously doubt at this juncture that the US is going to find anything there before they withdraw. Does not mean there is or is not anything that is there or ever was, but we certainly won't see anything pop up in the next couple years.

Unless the combination of Saddam and us have killed everybody who knows/knew where such stuff is buried - I find it highly unlikely that a person who has such information would remain secretive now. That information would be highly lucrative to them, either to "turn it in" or somehow get the material ferreted out of the country. That, plus the information from weapons inspectors before the war even started that Saddam's government had very little, if any, "illegal" weapons left (Google Scott Ritter for the main proponent of this).

Now, does this mean that there isn't a canister of mustard gas, somewhere forgotten in the desert? No.
Do such forgotten canisters constitute a threat? Again, the answer is no.

Anybody who believes otherwise is drinking the kool-aid of the current administration.

I dont unequivocally believe that Iraq is devoid of WMD material. And yet, what Brotha said is still amusing because to unequivocally believe that Iraq is NOT devoid of WMD material, which he declared in the quoted text, IS naive.

Personally, I fully expected there to be forgotten/hidden mustard gas or tarun munitions leftover from the Iran-Iraq war turning up all over the place following the invasion. Hopefully nothing like that will be found, because it would justify the war to a lot of very stupid people despite having nothing to do with anything.
