Sweet! Casting time ideas! I read in that thing that James Marsden was set to be in one of the movie versions.. don't see that really, I assume he was to play the main role. I can't help but think of James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) to play the vampire guy, but that could just be the whole bleached blonde vampire thing they both have going

Re: Preacher HBO series
And, on a different note, I just saw this item on a screenwriter's blog I read...
Other places are suddenly reporting it, so I might as well confirm the news: I’m writing a big-screen version of Preacher, an adaptation of the acclaimed graphic novel series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. Sam Mendes is attached to direct. Neal Moritz is producing for Sony Pictures.
To answer your first four questions: there’s no release date, no cast, no locations, no nothing. I’m writing a script which could become a movie if everything lines up correctly. So here’s hoping. It’s a terrific project that I’m excited to be writing.

Re: Preacher HBO series
Well I guess it didn't make it to HBO. Which probably would have been a better choice than AMC where it ended up. Premiers in May but sounds like it could be decent. It has to be better than that Walking Dead crap. Oooo zombies how original!
