I woke up to one of those on my phone yesterday, and I still have no idea who sent it.

It was funny though.

Dwight rules. Future Dwight is cooler, though.

But who would win in a fight, Dwight or Gareth?

Check that one out, knucklehead. You only input the recipient's phone number and it comes anonymously.

Or did the one you just received magically know my number?

I'm not even sure what you're implying about our relationship, but it's blasphemous to insinuate that College Football isn't the greatest sport that God ever invented. I'm pretty sure that Jesus was the starting fullback at Bethlehem State.

I stand corrected!

besides, jesus stands watch over south bend, where he can watch his shitty team get crucified by UM. (yes, I hate ND that much to pay UM a compliment)

And yes, college football is the greatest thing to happen to American society since, ever.

I agree, although it seems like everyone I ask (who's seen both) say they like the US version better. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I laughed my ass off way more often while watching the UK version. I still like the US version, but the UK version will belong to my permanent DVD collection one of these days. There are quite a few elements of the US version I liked, but they were all season 2 developments. The "peripheral" employees are better developed, whereas the UK version relied more on Gervais and the Gareth character for comedy.

Also, I think they made Pam's BF a lot less detestable than Dawn's BF, which kind of undermines the desire to have them break up. He's almost likable. Its easy to forgive stupidity, but Dawn's BF was just an asshole. That's been my biggest complaint. I want to hate her BF...

No one can do the "i've just commited the worst social faux pas ever" look as well as Gervais.

The original office is imo one of the most perfect series ever made.

Perfect in a cringeworthy, suicide inducing way of course :P

I like them both, and I think each has its own set of strengths. The BBC version remains my favorite, but I really like the way the US version is developing and becoming its own show. When I first read that NBC was working on a version of the show, I was mortified (just look what NBC did to Coupling). I've been pleasantly surprised with it, and have really become a big fan of the NBC version.

I think I worked in too many offices with Ricky to enjoy the office... he was all too lifelike and I just kept thinking, "yes... he's a bastard... where's the funny?" though Gareth and Tim were usually funny. Tim and Dawn were just irritating.

Gervais is much much better in Extras, and Kate Winslett giving phone sex advice in a nun's habit to Anne Frank and Goebels was comedy gold...
Start with something light, you know like, "I'd love it if you stuck your Willy Wonka between my Oompa Loompas." You know, something a bit fun, a bit jokey and then you can get more hardcore.

..with the old classics, like "I'm playing with my dirty pillows. I'm aching for your big purple-headed womb ferret." and then go straight in hard. Like, "Get round here because I'm fudding myself stupid and I'm bloody loving it." Alright?

That's the one! It was pretty awful, compared to the real thing.
