Here's a link to a benchmark article on the new DX10 8800 nVidia cards. Looks like the GT version might be the better deal...as they usually are over the GTS versions:

That is damned funny. Now the PC gearheads are building stuff that looks like actual gearhead (meaning car / motor enthusiasts) rigs. How long before they start wearing muscle shirts and NAPA hats?

I'm glad to hear that the performance on the 8800s are better than what's out there now, but I had no idea it could be an SLI setup. I didn't read the article, but does that include SLI'd 7950s? I haven't read too much on those benchmarks.

Here's a lengthy review and test of the DX10 features of the 8800GTS. In the concluding remarks, the writer mentions the legendary ATi 9700Pro in comparison to the 8800's power in relation to the current cards, etc.
