Yeah that was great, my girlfriends mom brought my attention to that one yesterday. Kerry is a fucking retard that should drowned in a puddle of piss, and he can shove his so called "apology" right up his ass. His comment was a "botched joke", first of all you are a politician not a little kid in the school yard talking about who's dad can beat who's dad up.
He needs to accept that he lost the election, he is not president nor will he ever be and learn when to shut the fuck up, because his opinion is worthless.

I personally wouldn’t have apologized at all. Rather I would have said “listen, I meant this, if you don’t believe me, fine, go believe the people who also told you there were WMD in Iraq, who listen to your telephone calls, hold people without charging them yet still can’t seem to find the leader of the group that planned and carried out the 9/11 attacks. Your choice, I won’t use water boarding or anything else to force you to believe me or say that you agree, you either do or don’t and lets leave it at that and move on… next question?”
Here is another point, if the RNC is so big on Kerry apologizing, then how about Bush apologizing for his WMD jokes he made yesterday? I think the death of 2800 American’s and wasting billions of dollars is much less humorous and much more important than a Senator messing up a joke about the President. But hey… I guess that’s just my opinion…

Fact of the matter is that someone like Kerry who is (unfortunately) a public figure should not be making jokes about the president on a televised event, PERIOD.Marbus wrote:I personally wouldn’t have apologized at all. Obviously not, he was such an honorable soldier when he served and would never turn his back on them. He was a coward then and he is an idiot now, the more you defend him the dumber you look, not that you running your mouth about a country you don't live in doesn't partially accomplish making you look like an asshole already.Nick wrote:It's hilarious seeing the various neotards thinking they have somehow "caught" Kerry out for "insulting the troops" when in reality they haven't.

So you don't think freedom of speech includes jokes about the president?Funkmasterr wrote:Fact of the matter is that someone like Kerry who is (unfortunately) a public figure should not be making jokes about the president on a televised event, PERIOD.Marbus wrote:I personally wouldn’t have apologized at all. That was far more appropriate... there's nothing wrong with joking about those phantom WMDs after he'd sent a few thousand soldiers to their death in Iraq. Here is another point, if the RNC is so big on Kerry apologizing, then how about Bush apologizing for his WMD jokes he made yesterday? Not all of the soldiers over there hate it actually. I have a friend in Iraq right now who loves it. Hes a crazy motherfucker though (he just signed up and went active in the Marines last year). Also another friend's brother has been to Iraq twice, volunteering both times.Sylvus wrote:The picture at the top of the thread leads me to believe that those guys like being in Iraq. Seriously, it was a massive cock-up by Kerry, who has seemed in such good stride lately. That sign was well-deserved, and very funny

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable, let's prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all. - Douglas Adams
While I truly agree with Cartlas (shock I know) I do think Kerry would have done better but again that is just my opinion.
However Freedom of Speech is NOT my opinion, no one is above the law and no one is above a joke. Bush's self depracation is sometimes funny but it's not when the butt of the joke is the American public and American lives. Kerry has every right, just like you do, to make fun of whoever he wants. You make fun off Kerry, he make fun of the President, I make fun of you whaterver, it's a FREE Country... at least for now, look it up in the library of Congress if you have anything left when you get done burning all the books...

I hope Kerry runs again in 2008!
There seem to be a lot of websites wishing this:
http://www.google.com/search?q=john+kerry+2008
It would be fun to watch Hillary and Kerry battle in the primaries. I'm sure Kerry would put his yellow wrist band of the month on...afterall, he took that thing off a millisecond after he lost the election last year...as if he reallycared about whatever charity/support effort he was pimping for votes. I wonder if the wristband was all orange inside from the tanning cream.
The Democrats need some new candidates, otherwise its four more years of republican X. Hell, I would never vote for him, but even Jeb Bush would probably win over Kerry or Hillary. Yikes.

Jon Lurch Cary is an idiot. He knew exactly what he was saying and he always believed in what he said. He has a history to verify it.
No matter what your opinions are it is a stategic error right before a close election to say something this stupid. He just fueled the Republicans and made sure they kept the Senate. Virginia, Tennessee and Missouri prob. just tilted 1% more Repub. to turnout and vote. All they needed for victory. Now the GOP may even have a chance to hold the House.
What a fkin moron. He just blew his prospects for 2008. Actually Dems are so stupid they may run him again. LOL ohh boy were are the good oldin days of Truman, FDR. Dems that I could actually think about voting for.

CRY HAVOC...........AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR!!!!!
The democrats are scrambling to find another republican pedophile to save the elections. They blew their load too soon and now Kerry has stepped in to draw attention away from the old news.
Ignoring actual political issues, the republicans have always been better campaign strategists. Kerry's home stretch campaigning was horrible in 2004.

I'll give you this, the Republicans are much better at pointing the finger at someone else and making a mountian out of a molehill. The Bush Administration has soooo many atrocities it's pathetic. If John Kerry flubbing a joke and all the Republican talking heads making a big deal about it changes the vote then our general public is so pathetic as a nation they don't diserve the right to vote... No not saying it should be taken away, it's a right, you don't have to diserve it, it's yours as a product of being a citizen because hell if we did have to prove some kind of intelligence in order to vote there is no way Bush would have one last time... even with Winnow's 100% correct statment of how pathetic Kerry's campaign was...
Looking at the Dems right now now though I have no one too vote for in 2008 which may be just fine if the Dems take the House and/or the Senate. With one party controlling congress I'll be more than happy to support and possibly even work for a moderate Republican... if there are any left by then... been gearing myself up to vote for McCain in 08 but not so sure latley...

Found the story I was referring to on CNN.com:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/01/ ... index.html
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/01/ ... index.html
The controversy started Monday when Kerry, speaking at a rally for California gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides at Pasadena City College, said: "You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
Afterward, a Kerry aide explained that the senator had "mangled" a prepared statement, which was actually supposed to be a barb at Bush: "Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq."
True, Bush is good enough at making a joke of himself. He doesn't need any help heh.Funkmasterr wrote: Fact of the matter is that someone like Kerry who is (unfortunately) a public figure should not be making jokes about the president on a televised event, PERIOD.
Although, you're an idiot hah. Good to see the Republican clowns out in force again.
Really? I thought that they were being sincere about wanting Kerry to get them out, and that is really the best spelling and grammar you are ever gonna get from a platoon of US infantry. Stupid fucking trigger happy mongloids that they are.Sylvus wrote:The picture at the top of the thread leads me to believe that those guys like being in Iraq. That's surprising.
Frankly sunshine if for one second people like you actually actually gave a singular fuck about your armed servicemen you would have made damn sure they never went anywhere near Iraq to begin with.Funkmaster gibbered:

Like I could give a fuck about Kerry, everyone knows he's an asshole, the worrying fact of the matter is a whole country full of shitheads like you somehow managed to still think Bush was a better option, talk about dumb. It George fucking Bush for christs sake, do you realise how many generations it's going to take for your country to be taken for anything other than a bunch of murderous hicks after his leadership? China's catching up fast, it's probably best for you to cut the bullshit now.
Oh and the next time you feel the need to criticize somewhere like Iraq, Iran or North Korea, remember you don't live there and should shut the fuck up, ok outsider?! we dont like your type around here! goddamn readers!
You really are possibly the most retarded person to ever post on these boards, congratulations!

Good sense of moral proportion you have there dipshit.
Everyone knows the Dems are nearly as retarded as the Republicans. The important word being "nearly", in that after 3 years of horrific bloodshed in Iraq (which as we all know had no WMD's, never welcomed you with open arms or wanted your intervention), it may be a good idea to change the course a little bit - you know....from hundreds of deaths a day to (even!) the !possibility! of a new tactical approach to the clusterfuck murderplan people like you supported (and everyone else in the world told you would happen, moron).

Poor Bushy-wushy doesn't like being mocked.
The hero-worship and near deification of the President by the US masses is utterly fucking creepy. The President should be being mocked daily to keep him real. It's right up there with "don't question the president - get behind his decisions!". WTF is that shit about? Question everthing. ESPECIALLY YOUR LEADERS.
Christ, if a day goes by without Blair being ragged on by his peers, the opposition and the press, never mind the comedians, we get worried over here in Blighty.
