MP3 organization issues

Post by sarlen »

So I have a hair over 16000 songs in my collection and frankly it has become a real mess. Many of the tags are messed up and the file structure is really bad, hundreds of duplicate folders and songs. I tried to manually go in and move things around but after 4ish hours I haven’t even made a dent in it. Does anyone have a program or a solid method of fixing the file structure and removing the duplicate files from the massive directory?

Since Winnow is not online yet, I believe Copernic will do this...

The best I've ever used at fixing tags and file names. I think it also finds duplicates, but it's been a while since I've had to use it.

Also, I've used the full version, so I'm not sure what a trial version may limit regarding features.

Copernic won't reorganize things but it will find and combine them all in seconds no matter where they are on your network!
