Here's the lowdown. Sign up for a 3 year contract with Sympatico High speed, for 59.99 a month in Ontario and 54.99 in Quebec and get a free 360 with 3 games (NHL07, GRAW and Live Arcade Unplugged Vol1), 1250 MS points and 3 month of live.
Considering I pay that right now for my Cable high speed, it's a pretty decent deal.

I assume Comcast has some of the highest costing High Speed. But im almost comfortable to say its the best in the areas where you can get it, and most likely soon to be one of the most reliable in the nation upon their expansion.. They are HUGE on the east coast in most areas.

How fast is that? All broadband is not created equal. I pay 59.00/month but I'm getting 12Mbps. The cheaper offering from my cable company is 45.00/month for 7Mbps.Animalor wrote:http://happybeggar.com/index.php?option ... 3&Itemid=2

I think the FIOS peeps are getting the best price per Mbps in the areas it's available.

Not such a great deal after all since they're jacking the price by 13 bucks a month over the course of 3 years, which somes up to the price of a new 360.
I guess someone who doens't want to foot the bill upfront. This would help somewhat.
I'm paying 50.23 a month for my internet connection. 6MB down, 800k up.
That includes modem rental and taxes.

Mine increased a few days before October 7th when it was supposed to. Do you use anything that maximizes your bandwidth? I get a steady >11Mbps using Newsleecher/Giganews.*~*stragi*~* wrote:

I have FIOS, and love it. I don't know how much I actually pay for it, but its in the same range I think as what you're paying but its 15Mbps. If you can get FIOS, you won't regret it.Winnow wrote:How fast is that? All broadband is not created equal. I pay 59.00/month but I'm getting 12Mbps. Yeah, at these speeds, you can treat the usenet as a movies-on-demand service and grab a divx/xvid movie (~700mb) in 5-6 minutes, watch, delete and still have the movie available for ~75 days if you wish to view it again. TV episodes which run ~350mb take ~3 minutes to grab for an hour episode (well 42 minutes after commercials are yanked).Venti wrote: I have FIOS, and love it. Before, I was treating the Usenet as an MP3 jukebox, now it's been upgraded to video jukebox.
Someone needs to create a way to directly view/listen to movies/mp3s off the usenet. Just need a new compression method that decompresses on the fly without requiring the entire file.
