What kind of school has cheerleaders wearing their uniform every day. I wish I had gone to that one.

In the name of science, I watched, "Bring It On: All or Nothing" which stars the cheerleader girl from Heroes to see how oftern this actress is actually dressed in a cheerleading costume. I've determined that cheerleader girl is in a cheerleading outfit 95% of her screen time in movies and TV.

BTW, the movie was bad. very bad. 3/10

Anyone else notice that the picture on the book sleeve of Dr Sharesh changed from one week to the next?

Another good episode.
[Show]
I'm wondering what the mind wiper guy did to the cop. The cop still seems to have his powers and only to have forgotten the previous day...unlike the Quarterback who got totally mind wiped. Also wondering if something was planted in his mind.

Hiro and the politician had great parts this week. I'm starting to like the politician more.

The Indian guy has become useless for the time being on the show. It's not entirely his fault. He hasn't seen anything to suggest there are people with superpowers. I'm not sure what the director is trying to do but he's written him out of the show at this point...I'm sure he'll be back in later but they need to throw him super bone to rekindle his interest in his father's work so he continues his research. He should at least bang the little elf girl before he heads back to India.

I looks like the story will move into high gear starting next episode with the appearance of Alter Ego lady's husband. (Sylar?) He appears to have powers from the previews for next week.

Hiro, the prophet and emoboy should meet up next episode. Next episode we'll have emoboy close to two heroes so we may find out if he has superfreak powers and can carry more than one power at once. Im betting that eventually he can because Hiro says he's "the one" so it will probably end up being Supercharged EmoBoy vs Sylar in the final showdown of the season with the rest of the heroes incapacitated but close enough to watch.

At some point, the the politician will track down alter ego lady because she was the best fuck off his life even if she doesn't remember it. The cop, who also had a good showing this episode, seems off by himself atm. Same with Clair/cheerleader girl.
Bring on episode six!

I dont think Alter Egos husband is Syler. I think hes gonna be a good guy. Hes on the run cuz Alter Ego killed those dudes that he got accused for.

The big mystery guest to me is Linderman. Hes the money man. AlterEgo paid off her debt to him by screwing Politician. Politician is getting 4 mil for his campaign from him. And AlterEgos husband supposedly stole 2 mil from him. Linderman is the key.

I don't think Alter Ego's husband is Cylar/Sylar(wtf spelling). Their faces looked entire different to me, or at least their eyes did. I think I agree with Homer about him getting framed for the murders that Alter Ego probably did.

Last night we did in the hospital room and even before that in the bar when he made the cop pass out. Or I'm imagining things! If I remember right, they were pretty narrow almost asian like. Actually this is going off the assumption that the black guy who messed up the cop's memory and the kid's is Sylar...

You're probably right about Alter Ego's husband not being Sylar (is that the right spelling?) It's probably not politically correct to make all the black guys in a TV show bad guys. (The mind wipe guy and Alter Ego's Husband)

I wonder if Sylar might be Clair's (cheerleader's) dad...or, what if someone set up Sylar the bomb and he's not even the bad guy. The Indian guy said the morgue showed him three bodies before he saw his dad but he did see his dad I guess...that kind of spoils my idea that Mohinder's dad may still be in the mix...the map on Sylar's wall had me wondering that.

I have a feeling that emoboy is going to be the one to defeat Sylar. He will probably absorb everyone's power to do it too. In Hiro's future, he talked about him having a scar and that he needed to save the cheerleader. If they do that, emoboy might be able to regenerate during this fight.

I think the mindwipe guy is the husband. He probably wiped pshyco chick's memory too. She was probably the one that did all those murders but maybe because he loved her, he took the fall and took the bad memories away.

Psyloche, I'm operating under the assumption that your assumption is not the correct one.
[Show]
granted, sylar could have the time/space powers, but we saw him "fight" the cop and the fbi girl out in the LA area at right about the same time that Mohinder was checking out his apartment in New York. By the time Mohinder got back there with the police, it had been cleaned out. And wtf is up with Sylar cutting the tops of people's heads off?

Schizo girls husband, DL, is most definitely, 100%, not the mindwipe guy. They're both black, male, and bald, but that's where the similarities end. Two completely different people. I'm guessing DLs power is invisibility.

I also had a theory that Muhindars dad would play a role in the show. That first picture of him on the book sleeve was a rather recognizable actor. Thats why I assumed he'd be a part of the show. And with that assumption I was guessing that maybe Dr Dad was also Syler. Syler being the mirror reflection evil alter ego of the Dr., just like AlterEgos reflection is evil.

...do I need to Spoiler guesses and theories?

I'm still not positive mind wipe guy is Sylar either, it's still up in the air if Sylar is her dad or just some other dude all together imo. I guess when I was referencing the mind wipe guy not being DL, I should have used the term mind wipe guy, cause thats who I really meant!

it looked to me, from the quick preview last night, that DL's power might be like Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat.

Ahh, I didn't watch the preview for next weeks. Prefer to go into it not knowing anything ;) A phasing ability would have been my next guess tho. In fact, should have been my first, they did say he managed to slip his cuffs somehow. I just took it to be invisibility from the way schizo was feeling like someone was watching here then poof he was there where he wasn't a second ago.

I think in the preview he reached out of the wall in the hallway and grabbed AlterEgo and tried pulling her into the wall. It was quick. Also the cops said that he did a houdini and slipped the cuffs which makes me think that invisibility is not his power. I like how the cop totally satisfied his wife cause he knew what she wanted.

He may have both invisibility and phasing (kitty pryde) type powers.

If it turns out to be Sylar then I bet he ends up having multiple powers.

Again, from the previews, it looks like AlterEgo's Hyde personality takes over and she at least gets one good shot in on her husband knocking him across the room.

The comics I'm posting here appear to be additional info that is part of Heroes but not included in the actual TV series. The last issue dealt with cheerleader girl escaping the car wreck end then saving the quarterback but the TV show picked up right after that. With that in mind, I guess it's ok to read the comic before each week's episode without spoilage.

Not to derail a thread i like about a show i like but...

WTF is up w/ all the spoiler: crap and a bunch of blacked out lines i see a ton of people doing? Is there a filter i'm not turning on or something? It's annoying to go to a thread and see 10 people post the same spoiler w/ black lines repeated over and over.

i cant quite understand what you are trying to say, but they are spoiler tags that if you highlight you can see what they are saying. Its to stop from showing people who don't want to see.

And if thats not what your asking, then we are having a conversation about what we think is going to be happening in upcoming episodes. This show is a great show to talk about and try to figure out.

Perhaps this thread's title should just be changed to "H E R O E S Spoilers" and do away with the spoiler tags altogether?

Or maybe make a new thread for the spoilers. *shrug*

Hehe, that was my point.

90% of the thread is tagged spoiler when they really arent spoiling anything. It's not like it's a movie with a surprise ending that can be spoiled.

I think it's mostly to be on the safe side if somebody recorded the show or some crap and hasn't watched whatever episode I'm talking about. I'd rather not take the chance of having to read some crybaby complaints about me spoiling some crap that I might not even consider a spoiler.

I prefer the /hide tag as it's easier to click and see than drag your mouse over text and looks better than big black splotches on the page. You'd think we knew who assisinated JFK upon first glance with all the blacked out parts!

I'm not sure about making it spoilers people do tend to come late to the party and end up watching TV series. Kind of a waste to make another thread as most people are just discussing the show and speculating on what's going to happened.

Use /hide instead of /spoiler? Man Law? VV Law?

I'd say that from this point on if you are reading this thread be prepared for spoilers not being hidden. Avoid the thread until you have seen the latest episode else you will be given insight to that which you wanted to be a surprise.

Agreed?

Do you have any clue what went wrong with your use of the hide tag on the second to the last post on page 2? It does nothing when I click on it, but when I tried to quote that post I could finally read what you were hiding.

I suspect Syler has something to do with the faulty hide tag. Perhaps winnow came to close to the truth so the only option left to syler was to eliminate the post.

Well, the strange thing was that you can see the post just fine if you hit quote. I thought I was just going to see the hide tag, but all of the "hidden" text showed up in the reply box.

If EmoBoy posted here, would he combine powers and become Kyoutalas (Cartoukan)?

laying out some cards on the table:

i'd say that Sylar is an agent involved with Mr Bennet and his special friend. The removal of brains might be to retrieve them for the special friend who can apparently do some crazy mental shit (ie: erasing Matt and Brody's memories, blocking matt's telepathy, retrieving infomation from disembodied brains?), or Sylar has these powers to use the brains himself. That would explain to me why there was a perfect reproduction of Chandra's map in the apartment that Sylar was using.

This show will not be complete until Bubba Ho-Tep makes an appearance.

Aside from that, why did the Chinese guy allow himself and his friend to be taken away and roughed up? Just pause time, walk away, start up again..

He's Japanese. Hiro has said to his friend a few times that his powers should only be used for good so he wasn't too happy about the gambling which resulted in them getting dumped in the desert. He did steal the comic book though so he's not totally a goody goody.

I'm not convinced that we have seen Sylar outside of what the Mindreader saw after he pumped him full of lead. I think the Mindwiper is someone one else, a lacky if you will, with powers. I think Sylar is just someone who is insane and has powers. From what I remember, could we even tell if Sylar is white or black or other?

theres no way in shit that sylar is the mental-guy. you dont bring a character in... shroud him darkness and mystery.. and unmask him in the very same episode

and I'll bet one of my gold-plated testicles that he's white. In the scene before he is shot, you could see the sun shining back through his ear and it is pink just like whitey whiteboy's.

so yeah- the whole brain thing is some way to obtain information, or some way for Sylar to steal powers...

Plus I am also wondering what the significance of the little girl and her family is.. if any. Sylar broke into FBI headquarters looking for her, after all.. certainly there for a reason

I can't remember where, but I was sure I saw something in episode 2 or 3 that pointed to the fact that the Cheerleader's dad is Sylar. I can't back it up with fact, but I've been under that assumption from the beginning. Who's this DL guy mentioned? I thought the black guy we saw hiding in AlterEgo ladies house was the same one that worked with the Cheerleaders dad/Sylar to mindwipe people. If Cheerleader's dad isn't Sylar, why is he acting so evil and had such an issue with finding out his daughter had superpowers. It seems to me he's the one that wants to experiment/consume the hero's and their abilities.

With the missing brain thing, I'm leaning towards consumption of them to add/absorb their powers thus making him more powerful in return, kinda like a permanent Emoboy thing. That would explain why he is so interested in trying to find the various hero's as well.

he's a visual effects artist. I was actually suprised at how many Token-Asian-Guy role he's filled in so many shows

Mr Bennet is certainly not Sylar. I'll bet my other gold plated nut on that. I think he is special in some way though- This shit is all taking place across the US in a matter of days, yet he has appeared in every major location. not unthinkable with conventional travel, but still conspicuous.

Here is what i think..

I dont think Sylar is a good guy at all.. You see how easily he was ready to kill the FBI agent if he wasn't shot at?

AlterEgo's husband DL is innocent, and AlterEgo killed the guys in his crew, i think she turns out to be a badguy.

EmoBoy becomes the main character or lead, i should say, and defeats Sylar like was said earlier in this thread. Possibly by using everyones powers at once.

I dunno why i see it, but i see Politician as becoming a badguy and eventually facing his brother. We got a taste of how the politician easily gives into temptation. I think Cheerleaders dad will have use for him.

DL has the ability to shapeshift and/or phase.

Those are my predictions, could be wrong, id be suprised if they turned out to be right.. I eagerly await more episodes!

Hmmm, well all of these brains that are being taken from victims need to eventually show up somewhere unless Sylar is eating them.

How's this for a freaky episode...Clair the Cheerleader gets "killed" by Sylar and her brain is taken but Emoboy eventually finds it and gets close to her brain, somehow helping her to regenerate the rest of her body...or Emoboy's brain is taken and Clair gets close enough for Emoboy to regen his body back.

For the people that have read Warren Ellis' run on the New X-Men, there was a storyline where normal humans were organ farming mutant body parts and replacing their own organs with the mutant ones. I'm guessing that something similar is happening in Heroes and the brains being collected are either being used to enhance Sylar or other test subjects to give them powers or Sylar somehow sucks the powers from the brains of his victims.
