why would they call it rc2 and not provide the same level of support through windows update or not let you upgrade to windows vista?
I haven't installed rc1 yet, was thinking about doing it today if i can determine if i have SATA drivers that will work. I"m about 90% sure I have drivers for everything but SATA.

That really makes me sad. I've been running RC1 for several weeks now. I was really looking forward to upgrading to RC2 for a [hopefully] more stable environment. I don't understand the lack of Windows update support or inability to upgrade to a final version.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.
Tempted to put it on so I can see if WoW can maintain a link in RC2 (RC1 seemed to drop link every time I ate something).. but with the download and other associated pain, I'm staying in XP for now.
