The most dominant heavyweight champion in boxing is Wladimir Klitschko. His brother effectively forced Lennox Lewis into retirement. The other three HW champs are also former Soviets.

In the MMA world, the two heavyweights a significant cut above the rest of the fighting world are Fedor and "Crocop" Flipovic.

The Iron Curtain lifts and they take all our prestige by force! Brilliant!

It's true.

Eastern europe has been very dominant recently.

Is it due to Fedors special training with sledgehammers, kettlebells and vodka?

I hear that Fedor's 18 year old brother will be making his MMA debut soon at 205. Could we have a new Pride Middleweight champ? Poor Wanderlei :\

Ivan couldn't have a better upbringing as a young Martial Artist.

Couldn't have better brothers training him either!

I believe his path is set, he will not become a lawyer or doctor but eventually will walk the fighters path, carrying on the Emelianenko-banner when Fedor and Aleks have retired.

If Ivan decides to emphasize his fighting with takedowns and ground n pound, one could call his sidemount "The Iron Curtain" just like Arona is "The Blanket".

I think Fedor's closer to 230! But he's not trim, like the kid is~
