Fox Investigative Reporter beaten by subject of report

Post by Animalor »

*Warning* The video is somewhat graphic with language and violence. It is a news story that aired on TV however.

On camera no less..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Thn2BGOj ... ed&search=

The reporter did a series of stories on this guy in July. Apparently, he was doing followup interviews with people when the wife showed up and started verbally assaulting him and the cameraman and splashing him with water.
Then the husband arrives on the scene and attacks the reporter.

Yes, it's an awesome way to go from being a white collar criminal suitable for minimum security into being a shoe-in for PMTIA prison.

Saw the video and the story yesterday.

Now, to preemptively qualify, the couple are complete and utter waste of life meatbags.

That said, even from what little I saw of this particular investigative reporter...he deserved an assbeat for his behaviour. I'm waiting for Becky Oliver (the one here in Dallas) to get hers, because she's had it coming for a LOOOOONG time. These 'reporters' just act like a rude fucking twat who is better than everyone and somehow expect people to celebrate them for uncovering the truth about soandso.

So I say, lock this couple up! But pat them on the back for fucking that guy's face up.

Stuff like this is only going to escalate as the media gets more and more aggresive with it's "investigative reporting"

I don't understand why some of you are advocating this. Why should this reporter be hurt for doing his job?

Those criminals he was doing the story on should be fucking shot in the head for what they have done.

I too favor capital punishment for white collar crimes.

You guys just don't see the big picture like we do. It's pathetic how ignorant and childish you all are. LOL

Face it. In this day and age in America, news isn't about news. It's about entertainment. People just turn on their TV to see if anything bad happened, or if anything blew up recently.

It's entertaining acting like a little twat when you're trying to get a white-collar criminal to say something. Do people really care that some guy has ripped off a handfull of people?

Maybe it is a latent passive-aggressive feeling in me, but I was happy as hell to see that reporter get beat. I hate "in your face" commando reporters with a passion. These reporters are always so fucking cocky when they get people in public. They use the law as an excuse to bully people and taunt them in front of a national audience.

Once in awhile these motherfuckers need to know what it's like in the real world. When you taunt someone and get in thier face, you're going to get your ass kicked. Then again, that's kinda what they want isn't it? I mean, who the hell was this Fox reporter 1 month ago? Well, I hope his 15 minutes of fame was worth getting his ass kicked on TV.

Hilarious.

If reporters are going to start getting beat up, I may have to start tuning in more often.

These reporters aren't after a story, they're after fame and glory. It makes it much more interesting. If you did the same thing that reporter did, what do you think would happen to you? Reporters don't have any special rights to be assholes.

Dickheads are ruining it for the few legitimate reporters out there. Who didn't want to see Geraldo Rivera get bitch slapped by Charles Manson?
Peter Gibbons: Let me ask you something. When you come in on Monday, and you're not feelin' real well, does anyone ever say to you, 'Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays'?

Lawrence: No. No, man. Shit, no, man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked sayin' something like that, man.

I don't see the big picture, I paint it! Speeding? Death. Shoplifting? Death. Telling a cop to F off? Death. Jaywalking? Death. If I continue at this rate, I'll have the jails all across this nation empty in a couple of weeks!

In that video I didnt see anything that made me think 'yea that reporter deserves a beat down.' MAybe what he did prior to it? I dunno, ruining the scam those 'people' had? He was sharing an abusive phone message with that other guy, when it all started, I didnt see the 'in your face reporting', even after she started throwing water on the guy and hit him with the bottle the reporter seemed to be trying to be calm and unthreatening.

Perhaps its late and I missed something

No, people just assume that since he works for a Fox affiliate, he must deserve to get beaten.
