Maybe it's me, but after having read a lot of the reviews on NewEgg for large capacity drives, it seems almost like a crapshoot to get them right now. Lots of failures, DOA's, etc. Seemed like that for anything 250 gigs and higher.

There is a guy on ebay selling Maxtor 400 GB drives for tigerdirect. I paid about $112 for mine and have been running it for several months now. Seems to be running fine for me. I have heard reports of bad drives as well but I haven't seen any problems.

I've had a 320 for about 5 months now with no problems. WD because Maxtor is evil.
