Yes they have already announced they are joining the cast for at least a portion of the season. Remember this is Lost, anyone can die, except Kate. If they kill her off I am not watching anymore, she is too damn cute to leave.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon
I know some of you watched this tonight (last night, whatever)
if I were sober I'd spout all my new theories -- pretty much tripped us out in the opening scene there~
my sis said they're airing something like 7 back to back episodes, then for 13 weeks no new ones or reruns, then the rest of the season back to back.. I have no idea what's up with the random scheduling but I'll probably just wait and get the freakin dvd anyway.
the opener for the season met most fan expectations I'm sure~
Holy shit. After two seasons of continuous blue balls, they really came through on this episode.
So what's up with the Other lady who had that file on Jack. How the fuck do they know all of that stuff? I know that the producers have said that this isn't purgatory or heaven or whatever, but it seems kind of odd that they had that much info on him.

Nope, I am refusing to watch if I can help it. I won't get sucked into that void of wondering WTF is going on all the damn time. Besides there are a few new series that show a lot of promise this year.
I watched it last night and I must say I will wait to download it from now on instead. Too many damn commercials. The new Jericho was pretty good as well. You can watch it on the CBS website in its entirety with like three commercials in it.
You can watch most, if not all, of the ABC shows on their site for free with 2-3 commercials total. I caught up on a few shows I hadn't previously thought to watch over the weekend, and each was sponsored by one company which meant that you got one ad from that company during each of the "normal" commercial breaks.
Downloaded and watched it (fuck commercials) and hoo boy, that opening scene was great. I was trying to figure out where/when this was taking place, then I saw Henry/Ben come out and a little tingle started down my back and I was thinking 'oh shit, it's on the island'. Then the plane breaking up and I was hooked for the rest of the episode.
A few thoughts:
1) the guy who "helped" Sawyer escape is obviously a plant.
2) I think the water incident with Jack when he opened the door was also pre-planned.
3) I wonder what exactly happened to Kate between the breakfast and when she was put in the cage. She seemed pretty traumatized, like she was barely holding it in.
The initial reactions during the first episode and part of the second were good but as it's progressed, it's gotten more and more unrealistic.
It seems the people are more interested in relationships than worrying about the full scale nuclear war going on.
After the show stressed the dangers of radiactive rain and the black guy explained how the top six inches of topsoil would have to be removed to farm again and everything scrubbed down hit by rain, it was hilarious to see them all walking around outside right afterwards having a barbecue.
Next on the corny list was hearing the name someone's flight mentioned in the background of a crashed plane's blackbox recorder. Somehow they knew the call sign of the flight the lady's boyfriend was on?
I'm also curious about the satellite transmission they received briefly that showed a chinese broadcast and map of the United States with city targets marked. How the hell are they picking up the signal of a chinese satellite (not possible), and even if China had invaded, they wouldn't be broadcasting a news show in chinese with a satellite over the United States one day after a nuclear strike. There's not enough info on this yet but it doesn't make sense at all.
What's with the crash landed passenger plane having no passengers? The guy mentioned the bridge was blocked further up the road so if the passengers survived, you'd think they'd have headed down the road toward Jericho.
I hope we start seeing some actual resource shortages soon...kind of convenient that the last scene of episode three was the boy finding a train loaded with supplies. Nice.
Episode four is Jericho's last shot to gain some focus and not turn into some freaky romance series with no attempt at all to take into account the effects of a full scale nuclear strike.
[hide]I'm starting to suspect that Locke was always able to walk. Its just that something mental was preventing him. Its good to see him back to his old self now.
What was the dweal with Desmond knowing about the future? I think Heroes rubbed off on Lost.[/hide]
I have a very strong feeling that Locke ended up getting shot or otherwise injured by the drug dealers he was working with. Desmond may well have had something happen from that magnetic implosion that messed him up and gave him visions of the future......or maybe he hit the sweat lodge and found peyote like Locke somehow managed to do.
As for Jericho....it is starting to get utterly and completely stupid. I had high hoped, but it is like they hired writers that were completely retarded and fired the people who actually came up with the initial ideas for the show.
I've been watching Jericho and yeah, it's been slipping and getting terribly predictable. The ending of last nights episode was good tho.
I have no explanation for Desmond's visions of the future. The only explanations I can come up with are far fetched ones which, while not exactly out of the question when it comes to this show, still make me think it can't be. I'm sure Locke's vision and what Boone said about each person were hints of the season to come, and Desmond's was "he's just helping himself". Look forward to seeing what that means.
