I'm curious to know how far some of you are in DR level wise. Any tips/tricks you've picked up or easy ways to level?

I'm currently level 23 and I've just been running the first rescue/kent/carlito missions over and over.

How scary are the spec ops guys that come later?

I got my to level 40 or so just playing through the game one and a half times. The best tips are to just rescue as many people as you can. If you keep repeating the first few you won't level as fast because later on in the game you get options to save 3-6 people at once for tons more PP.

Spec ops can get tough if they gang up on you but they all drop a fucking amazing machine gun.

Do you have any tips for acutally escorting without the people being fucking retards? I did the escort for those two guys that you get right next to the hardware store/gym outside of the foodcourt and one of them kept getting caught by zombies every 3 seconds and ended up dying 15 feet from the security room ><

use waypoints as opposed to just letting them follow you naturally.

Can you set more than one waypoint at a time?

I have not had much time to play lately, but am 13 or so and just killed Cletus to gain access to gun shop after finishing case 1...going to try and snipe convicts before proceeding with next case. Also may take a stab at the clown, but may not have time before the 6:00am case 2 start.

do the clown first, bring 3 shotguns and a lot of juice. shoot him in the face when he is blowing up a balloon or throwing a knife at you. take his chainsaws and get the criminal bio book from the book shop nearby and the edged weapon and entertainment books from the bookstore in paradise and you will have two small chainsaws that last 27 as long as normal!!1

Managed to take out the convicts in the park on way from north plaza to clown, then took him out. Both encounters were rather easy. I stood on one of the pavilions w/ sniper rifle and the convicts kept banging jeep into it as I picked them off easily.

Adam (clown) was a pushover using Kyou's shotgun to face technique....now I need to find time to grab up those longevity books since the next case has just started.

If I drop weapons, etc in an area, will they be there later or just disappear after a while? Would be handy in this case, or even just to stockpile food at certain areas.

an area resets when you leave it. you can always go back to the roller coaster and get another chainsaw after you kill adam though.

Right on. I was worried about wasting the chainsaws before getting the books--very cool. Assuming the heavy machine gun respawns as well in park, well hopefully--that was pretty fun.

Looks like I get to maybe fight Carlitos or whatshisname again from the looks of the video feed at start of case 2....yeah, I have the guide that Winnow posted on another thread (Gamespot guide), but I didn't want to spoil it too much!

Also, I want to finish the main game before exploring and really knocking some fucking zombies.

Thanks again for zie clown tip--he wasn't lying about the coaster keeping the zombies at bay!
