Talladega Nights

Post by noel »

For me, Will Farrell's comedy is really hit or miss. Sometimes he's hilarious, other times he's disappointingly annoying. I went into this movie with low expectations, but it really worked for me.

Most of the audience, myself included laughed through the entire movie. A lot of it is utterly ridiculous, but it's really well done and the characters play off of some great stereotypes that are pretty damn funny.

I'd definitely recommend that people with a sense of humor see this movie.

I found the second half to be funnier than the first. I'd give it a 6.

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

Oh good. After seeing Wedding Crashers and its funny first half, serious second half formula, I was worried this would be the same thing. I'll hopefully see this one some time this weekend.

I thought it was pretty funny. I saw Clerks II last weekend, and my friend and I agreed that while we laughed harder at Clerks II, we laughed more often at Ricky Bobby.

A lot of funny lines in this one, I'm sure I'll watch it a couple more times on DVD. I think Talladega Nights works for race fans and people who don't like racing (me) almost equally as well.

I thought this movie to be flat out horrible.
2 mild chuckles for the entire movie.

I found the Coke commercial before the movie to be more entertaining. The Anti-Grand Theft Auto commercial

I laughed through like the whole movie because of how over the top retarded all the characters were. I'm quite positive they made up more than half the lines on the fly which made it even funnier to me.

"Oh oh...I'll hold her hair!"
"Don't you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby!"
"Dig around the meat!"

It was amusing. Nothing special. Worth the 55 mins it took to download it off the net.
