Looks good. I like that IMDB is putting mini pics of the actors by the cast listing. Hard to keep track of everyone these days but can usually recognize a face:

Looks like a big cast for this movie.
Wolverine beats out Batman for top billing! I like both actors.

I saw it opening night and loved it.
First of all, Nolan must have a thing for non-linear story-telling (it's not like Memento, though) - this one is more or less telling pieces of the story in a seemingly random fashion that comes together perfectly. A friend of mine claimed the non-linear fashion was confusing but I think he's just mildly retarded.
The acting is, as can be expected from this cast, excellent. The story is engaging, you sincerely want to know what is really happening and how things are going to turn out. My one and only complaint is that if you heed Borden's (Bale's) warning to watch (and listen) closely at the start, you'll likely pick up on half the "twist" midway through the movie. Even so, it doesn't ruin it. The way the climax and resolution are presented is great. I don't think I'd rank it above the Departed, but it's definitely one of my favorites of 2006.

I am probably like 15% of the way into the book so far (it doesn't appear to be that long, but I'm reading an e-copy) and it appears that it was written in a pretty non-linear fashion. I wonder if Nolan chooses non-linear projects on purpose or if it was coincidental.
I feel like I already have a feeling of what a (the?) twist might be, but I'm not sure. So far it's difficult to put down.

Ah, I saw this movie last weekend and thought it was very good.
I love that Nikola Tesla was involved in the storyline. It makes it that much more mysterious as Tesla did have several projects that were destroyed by a fire in Colorado Springs so that adds a bit to the story for those that like Tesla.
This isn't a spoiler because it's a random scene in the movie...but when the baby started crying in the movie it made a couple babies in the movie theater cry as well...nothing's more annoying that that! Babies crying on the big screen should be outlawed!
Overall, The Prestige keeps you guessing throughout the movie and has several twists and turns. You may be able to guess what's going on in general but not exactly. I was close!
9/10 for Nikola Tesla fans
8/10 General Audience
7/10 for those that need a lot of action in a movie
6/10 for stupid people
5/10 for stupid people that need a lot of action in a movie
Scarlett Johansson's role wasn't very big in the movie

more theatres need sound-proof baby rooms in the back!
i've only been to one theatre that had them available. it was a multiplex with 5 screens and only 1 of them had the baby room, so your choice of movies was limited to whatever the fuck was playing on that screen. oddly enough, the movie playing on that screen was hostel.
what kind of parent would take their baby to hostel?! i'm fairly sure that would fuck your kid up somehow...

I just finished the book, some of my suspicions from like the first 10 pages ended up being true, not too difficult to figure out. Though there were a few things that made it hard to put down at different points.
It ended up going in a bit of a different direction than I expected, I don't know if the movie followed the book perfectly or not.
I'll definitely check the movie out on DVD, not sure if I'll make it to the theater for it.
