Art of War Blog

Post by Metanis »

I like Gary Gagliardi's analysis. Will Brown is not so good. The links section points to sites I use almost every day.

http://www.artofwarplus.com/wordpress/ I generally start with Art of War and then move to http://www.powerlineblog.com/ . Next on my list would be http://hughhewitt.townhall.com/ . From there I would check out
http://www.michellemalkin.com/ . After Michelle I tend to bounce around a lot... http://www.instapundit.com/ and http://poorandstupid.com/chronicle.asp and
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ . I even stop by http://www.dailykos.com/ for a dose of comic relief!

You could save yourself minutes a day by just listening the the voices in your head, rather than clicking all those bookmarks to read pure opinion that's guaranteed to be the same as your own.

Though, I did love this gem:
Remember Sun Tzu’s prediction that extremes in climate must naturally reverse themself? This has certainly happened in the Middle East. The “peace” had become a constant state of war. And, as its complementary opposite, a real shooting war gives us our first clear indication that we are really on the road to real peace.
Now I know where your keen grasp of logic comes from.

First link, and title of his post... blog entry is titled "War is Peace". Wasn't that also a concept in Animal Farm? Drawing the link between some people and Stalin just gets easier as the day goes on.

Same author, but it was 1984. Great prediction of many socio-political events and trends. George Orwell if i recall the name correctly.

Instapundit isn't bad. I don't visit him all the time but I do upon occasion. I don't always agree with him but he usually has at least a few interesting links.

I highly, highly recommend http://www.marginalrevolution.com. Its mainly an economics blog but it touches a lot of other subjects too. Also, its posts on economics are generally written from a human angle, fascinating stuff.

Other excellent blogs

http://www.dynamist.com
http://www.reason.com/hitandrun
http://www.theagitator.com
http://www.janegalt.net
http://www.danieldrezner.com/blog
