I downloaded the demo off of XBox Live and thoroughly enjoyed the single player section that was available.
Anyone else have a chance to play it or the multiplayer yet?

I've been reading the official XBox boards and apparently the feeling there is that the multiplayer isn't so hot.
I completely agree with you opinion of the Single player though. One of the better non-tactical FPS presentations I've seen in a long time. I'm gonna be renting this one for sure.

Got the demo for PC. Seriously, console developers need to have PC devs leading them around by the dicks. They were smart enough to do the "release 20% of the game free, and sell the other 80" thing that's worked since the earliest days of FPS shareware I haven't wanted to play a FPS since UTk4, but I'm buying this one

That seems to be the hard limit on any FPS, and the reason I can't bring myself to spend $50 on one. When they hit the cheapie bin, I usually pick them up. I bought Doom3 and it's expansion for less than $20 the other day.*~*stragi*~* wrote:yeah was gunna say don't waste your money and rent it.. it's like 5 hours long.Trias wrote:beat this game a few nights ago...its dope.
though a little short.
Unreal 2004, while not being a narrative FPS, still had a massive amount of content. I can put that in anytime and play for hours just due to the sheer volume of maps and all the different gameplay options. That game raised the bar, and nothing has really come close since IMO. BF2 + it's expansion = 1/10th the amount of content as Unreal.
I've heard good things about Prey, including that it's a great way to test out your system. I'll just be waiting another year to play it cause I'm a cheap bastard. FEAR is down to $30 though, I got my eye on that one too.
