Most commonly heard phrase in OG /gu:
GAKLEK DOWN!
GAKLEK DOWN!
"There is at least as much need to curb the cruel greed and arrogance of part of the world of capital, to curb the cruel greed and violence of part of the world of labor, as to check a cruel and unhealthy militarism in international relationships." -Theodore Roosevelt
Hey Spanky!Sparty wrote:Xkesman, man I miss Xkes. Such a good guy.
I would have listed Fameen, but I heard from him not to long ago. And im pretty sure Fam still reads the boards but doesnt post much. Fameen, let us know your still alive. I think Senani still reads the boards also. You there Senani?!
I guess the one guy I lost touch with and have wondered how he and his family were, is Sithe/Grimme and Rizelle. He never posted much, but I know he use to read the boards a very long time ago.
This also got me thinking about some of the people that Ive known for an extremely long time and are still reading the boards. Belfrain =), Sirton, Homercles, Voronwe, Ransure, Kylere, Sueven, Pox, Valryte, Little Rico, Etc. The list could go on and on. I guess the point is, VV really is an incredible little community of NAMBLA members.
I am Spartacus
I still read the board almost every day and I think Senani does as well. Its been years since I've heard from Sithe and Rizelle. I'd love to hear from them again but don't think they visit here any longer. It's been a long time since I've heard from Doright as well and would like to catch up with him.
Going way back to the early days of EQ and my days in OOs, its been several years since I heard from Sethorn. We used to keep in touch by email but I lost his address long ago. By coincidence I ran into Kenuvin in EQ2 and then again in WoW and was good catching up with him.

Zeep was SUPPOSE to come back to EQ2 on LucanDLere last month but thus far he is still a no show. Personally I think it's the Jag he got last month and he spends all night driving around being "cool" rather than playing... or now that he has so many kids he doesn't have any time to play... hell I only have 2 and barley have any time.
Zeep, how many you up to now?

heh, Blinkle was a crack up.Seebs wrote:One of my favorite Blinkle quotes:

Which reminds me of a /tell chat I was having with Kalysta one raid when she sent the mother of all mistells to guildchat ripping her RL brother, Fontari, apart. It made for an interesting trip to Kedge Keep that day! I swear it was the same raid that Blinkle made everyone line up for clarity. I guess she never figured out how to watch /tells and target-cast. : ) During raid buffing, as long as someone was within range and requested a buff, I gave it.
Blinkle! Now theres a name I haven't heard in forever... She used to run around with.. um.. whatshername... mage I think.
EQ2.. meh.. I try but I just can't get into it. I think it's the character models. I've tried it several times, but really I like WoW a lot better, though I don't play that much anymore either. (PS BITE ME)
Winn! Grinding levels away in HS with you and Aslanna are still some of my best EQ memories! That and VP/ToV with CT. Fun stuff! I read VV pretty regularly... just don't post a bunch.

Yea I remember that mistell, at the time I was king of all mistells and since Kaly and I hung out all the time she said it was rubbing off... haha. I haven't heard from her since she started her 3rd year at Med School but we use to have some really really fun times. (like the 14 froggies)
I'm just giving you a hard time as well Zeep, personally I didn't think I would like EQ2 at all but they have changed so much to make it more WoWesque I find myself playing it over WoW just about every time I get a chance to play. Still have the WoW account but play so little my 90% of my guild don't even know who I am unless Pyrella or Laliana are on.
I started a monk a few weeks ago and he is already 22 and definitely the most fun thus far. If nothing else it's fun to watch the Kung-Fu moves when using handweapons... yea I'm easily amused

OMG OG! Wow, sooo many old names I have such fond memories of.
Mmmm Golden Griddle...you crazy AllTel gang.
I guess I've already been summed up: Slackin' as an ex-pat in Germany for a while, hope to make it to another Euro destination next or maybe Asia, who knows? No gaming for me now; I lost interest after a while, not to mention the fact that my new place only has dial-up, which SUCKS! Oh yeah, and its ER, not oncology Neo.
Oggie, I haven't figured out how to get leaves to come out of my FatBoy exhaust yet, I'm workin' on it! Good to see your name, hope you and Lynn are doing well.
*hugs* to y'all, I updated the contact info on my profile if you want to keep in touch!

Heya Mae! Great to hear from you.
Though physically, Lynne's much worse off, fate at least has been kind enough to put us in a place where we are both now in bettter spirits (especially her). She's got the level of care she needs now, professional care, which means I'm out of a job, which has elliminated a lot of stress in my life, as you can imagine. So things are far from perfect, but far more manageable, all around.
It must be fun tooling around Germany. I was there last year visiting my brother and family (they live west of Munich) and absolutely loved it. I look forward to my next visit next September: rumor has it we'll be checking out Oktoberfest while I'm there. Though I hate crowds, I do love spectacles, so it should be an interesting sight.

Mmm, Sapphire! I do like Tanqueray if I'm feelin trashy though.
Neo, I do love Onc/Hospice, and hope to get back to it someday, but there wasn't any of that to be had here to keep me employed. I forgive you!
OGGIE! Glad to hear things are better for you. You were nearby and didn't let me know?! BAH! Of course, you probably had no way to let me know, lol. Give a heads up if you're headed this way again for sure and want to connect; Munchen's only a few hours away! Not sure if I'll do Oktoberfest again; its been an interesting couple experiences. You know how I like to dance on tables to accordion music!
Marb, how's the wee one? Or do you have more than one wee one now?
I keep in touch with a pretty good number of old EQ buddies, when I stop and think about it, but I've lost contact with many more. I wonder about Zyglow! I haven't chatted with Maly in ages...who else? Hynter, Vyne, Krakk, Raven & wifee... Some I'm embarassed to say I've lost track of their names after a couple years, dammit.
Sometimes I get the itch, maybe I'll take the fall again if RL ever slows down. Its a hard choice: go drink Belgian beer, or play online? BEER WINS!

Mae, I have 2 now, the oldest is three but looks like he is about 6 because he is so tall. Heh, he actually have a level 12 Paladin on LucanDLere which he plays from time to time, primarily killing "mire bogs and scarcrows." My youngest is 21 months and can actually lauch a browser and go to Noggin.com and watch videos all by himself. Them together alone in the office is a scary sight because they are looking through everything bookmarket... thank goodness I got rid of all porn, that's NOT what they need to see right now
Joseph, my 3 yr old already is asking for his on PC so he can play games at Noggin, NickJr etc... looks like I may be putting up that Linux Fireall / Content filter sooner than I thought!
Sounds like you are having a blast, if I didn't have kids I would love to be doing the exact same thing. I am going to get some free time tomorrow night to play poker and drink beer with Cyrus and all our friends from Europe, it's the closest I've got to the fun you're probably having but it's not too bad
Cheers!

Be original. Be a Boo.
Whassup Tons 'O Love!
Why the ? after my name?
I was in Ixtlan.
Dalinar and Wandering recently quit WoW I believe, and the only person left in Sovereign from the original Legion is Gak. Skunki and Dremus play hunters on another WoW server but I forgot where.
Whatcha been up to?

OMGAD I can't believe Sarge remember my favorite quote! Hehe, Sarge, the ? mark is to end the Sup' question - I knew you were one of those "Scum of Veeshan" folks!
One of my best memory from EQ1 was Kedge Keep, where I canni'd down to like 1 hp or so and Rask, being the fabulous mage that he was, bandaged me up to full health. It was much more fun than mana stone!
I still got plenty of
for you Stragi. You're my favorite "bard" LOL. Man oh man, I don't think you can ever live that one down, bud. And oh yea, what's up with yer new handle Horse Fiesta dude?
The last thing I heard about Marxes was that he head off to medical school just right before PoPower came out. Haven't heard a peep from him since.
I myself played WoW with the Valhall folks for a while on the European server, got my hunter up to lvl 60 but didn't have time to raid with them so I gracefully bowed out. Reikage is pretty much the guild leader of Valhall WoW now, and the bastard is enjoying chewing out them Swedes on raid big time, LOL. Lately, I've been flip-flopping between Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion and Heroes of Might and Magic V -- don't have much free time for MMORPG anymore. If you guys haven't tried Oblivion yet, do so. I give it 2 thumbs way up!

Good ole KK....I think they put up a monument as tribute to Monty/Larst

Who was it that would mana stone themselves to death on a regular basis during our trips in there? My memory fails me..it might have even been shanks.
Yeah, marxes left for med school...all of this happened while I was on a little break from EQ. I came back, took a look at who was online in the guild and wondered "wtf are all of this people!?...where is everyone!?" and that was pretty much that.
