So there's a guy with a gun near my office

Security wrote:We where informed by one of our employees that there was police blocking off the south bound road towards the truck stop and I-94 from Newman. An unknown individual (man) had fled the scene from a traffic stop with a gun in hand (location unknown). We confirmed this with Washtenaw Sherriff’s Department and this man is considered armed and dangerous. For those who take their daily walks, please stay inside until further notice, we will keep you informed as soon as we find out any further information!

For those who are already aware of this situation, we have no new information at this time!
Fortunately my cubicle is near the middle of our building, in case he decides to try and hide out in here. He'll probably run out of ammo before he gets to me. I hope they catch the guy soon, otherwise it may impact how long it takes me to get home tonight!

freaky. don't be a hero!

we had a couple of violent incidents near my old office, but none of them with firearms. Most notably two homeless dudes got in a fight over a sweater outside the Seattle Symphony and one of them ended up getting stabbed to death.

Quite a few crackhead scuffles and yelling etc.. we were right across the street from a Methodone clinic ;P
I TOLD YOU ID SHOOT! BUT YOU DIDNT BELIEVE ME! WHY DIDNT YOU BELIEVE ME?

Thank goodness it all worked out okay. I hate to think how badly all of you would have been devastated if something happened to me!

There is so much of that shit in downtown Norfolk, they don't even bother to make it media worthy unless a kid or cop gets shot. Oddly enough, I still feel safe.

No shit. Not to mention the good ole numbered streets in Newport News.

Hell I even had to draw my CC once in Yorktown of all places. Some 6ft 4in. ish hippy with a flower in his ear tried to corner me and actually started moving towards my wife when we were checking out the historical battle grounds down near that cave thing near the bar. Scared the hell out of me b/c the way it worked out my wife was in between me and him. Fortunately my G23 scared him more.

Weird Sylvus had the same thing happen in LA last week. Was visiting a large account and a carjacker crashed the car he stole, jumped into the facility we were driving into and hid, armed and dangerous.

We were walking over to an area to see what the gentleman I was calling on wanted me to see, when we ran into 3 SWAT members in full gear and M16's telling us it was time to go inside while they released the hounds!!

We were stuck in one of the buildings for about 30 minutes then told to immediately evacuate to a parking lot across the facility where we spent the next 40 minutes. Finally we were asked to leave the facility and on the way out they checked the cars for unwanted visitors. I was on the phone with my inside sales person when the call to evacuate went over the loudspeaker and I had to explain what was happening. Needless to say I doubt she will be visiting Los Angeles anytime soon.

I heard they caught the guy in a dumpster on site about 10 minutes after everyone was forced to leave.

Made for an interesting call report for my work. Glad everything worked out for you and no one got hurt. Did you get to see the police in full gear? Pretty impressive stuff.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon
