Detoit Tigers are a paper champ
I contest they suck and will fall not only to my beloved Yankees, but any good team they play. 16 of their 37 wins are against the Royals and Twins. They haven't played anyone good. By the All-Star break they will be at least 10 games behind the White Sox.

I don't know that the Tigers are a paper champ. They remind me quite a bit of the 1991 Braves. They have a lot of young pitchers that they drafted, brought up and took e beating, then the lights clicked on when a new manager took over. Leyland took over last year.....Bobby Cox took over in 1990. Both teams brought in some veterans who could give some solid leadership to a lot of young players who only knew how to lose (Pudge, Todd Jones, Kenny Rogers for the Tigers...Terry Pendleton, Sid Bream for the Braves)
As long as this team does not lose key players, I could see them gaining a lot of confidence and realizing that they can win it all.
