Reuters is great. They're my google homepages main news source. The one thing I really don't like about Reuters is how they divide their articles up into multiple pages (especially annoying on my blackberry) where I have to constantly move from page to page to see an entire article. It's only a minor annoyance on a PC, but if they didn't do that, I'd love them.
I actually like MSNBC quite a bit (as an online web browsed news source).

Wheres your outrage over these kind of people and the things they are doing? They ended peoples lives for wearing shorts. FOR WEARING SHORTS! Too many people on this board spend their time bashing some Christian group or mourning the death or some pot smoking artist while this shit goes on everyday. You waste your time standing up for artifical causes of the day while real enemies are out there. Real enemies worthy of your disdain and vile and hatred. You spend more time typing your disgust of me and the imaginary things you think I had said than you do about these animals. You should be ashamed of yourselves.Iraqis shot 'for wearing shorts'
The coach of Iraq's tennis team and two players were shot dead in Baghdad on Thursday, said Iraqi Olympic officials.
Coach Hussein Ahmed Rashid and players Nasser Ali Hatem and Wissam Adel Auda were killed in the al-Saidiya district of the capital.
Witnesses said the three were dressed in shorts and were killed days after militants issued a warning forbidding the wearing of shorts.
Other Iraqi athletes have been targeted in recent incidents.
In this case, according to accounts, the men dropped off laundry and were then stopped in their vehicle by gunmen.
Leaflets
Two of the athletes stepped out of the car and were shot in the head, said one witness. The third was shot dead in the vehicle.
"The gunman took the body out of the car and threw it on top of the other two bodies before stealing the car," said the witness, who requested anonymity.
He said leaflets had been recently distributed in the area warning residents not to wear shorts.
Last week, 15 members of Iraq's taekwondo team were kidnapped between Falluja and Ramadi, west of Baghdad, said a member of the Iraqi Olympic Committee. The kidnappers have demanded $100,000 for their release.

Come on Midnite, and Kyoukan... See, the thing is, we need your help. Right now, you're helping the politicians and the corporations. And we're left out there to mow our lawns.
I imagine you think it it is because you oppose one or the other but...No, no, no, you're not too rough on them. You're part of their strategies. You are partisan, what do you call it, hacks.
I would love to see a debate thread.... No, no, no, no, that would be great. To do a debate would be great. But that's like saying pro wrestling is a show about athletic competition. But the thing is that this -- you're doing theater, when you should be doing debate, which would be great. It's not honest. What you do is not honest. What you do is partisan hackery.

Both. One thing I have preached against a lot here has been how often people focus solely on one thing. It's not about focusing on one or the other. It's about being willing to see as much of it as possible. To conjure up such hostility and anger over the minor stuff, casts a shadow over the really important stuff. When I see someone type a post filled with such hostility and hatred for me and then never post or have a non chalant post about truly important issues, I find it disheartening.
I save my anger for the important stuff. Big picture stuff. Atleast, I really make a concerted effort to. If another 9-11 happens and its yet again a wacked out bunch of Muslims and the Muslim community sits there and whistles while they look at their feet, I'll probably feel like I did a couple years ago when I posted, the now infamous, "Fuck Muslims".
But, I sure as hell won't be wasting my anger and emotions over some low life politician or the folks on these boards. No matter what horrible things people have said about me here, I'd welcome everyone of them into my home for a meal with my family and I. Anyday of the week.

I haven't watched or heard CNN in probably 3 years so won't comment on them.
My least favorite media outliet is NPR. They should call it National Gay & Lesbian Radio. Most news stories are either about Gays directly or they need to get the Gay reaction from the Butch on the Street.
At least CNN you can disregard, but tax dollars support NPR which is a disgrace.

you just dont see stories about gay people (roughly 2% of npr's content) on corporate news because human waste like you changes the channel when they come on. it is the same reason a huge percentage of actual news is never reported on CNN, Fox, network news, etc.

Saddam was the only thing keeping the theocracy and other nutbags in check, now that you've captured that piece it's a fucking free-for-all, with every lunatic fringe free to attempt to gather support in the power vacuum you so gleefully created for their own good.
The only thing that stops Christians shooting sluts on the street is there isn't enough of them that get into one small room and encourage each other into action. There certainly is when it comes to bombing abortion clinics (omg; Christian, Domestic, Terrorism. bunch of fucking hypocrites)

No shit?!> NEWS ALERT U.S. officials: The United States will join multilateral talks on Iran's nuclear program if Tehran suspends uranium enrichment.
The original post was not about the stories CNN posts, but it was about the craptastic "headlines" they use for their banner news alerts. When the hell would this have been a news "alert?"

I think most people who have followed the issue surrounding enrichment at the Isfahan facility in Iran over the last 5 or so years and the absence of US involvement in negotiations would say this is "news".
