X3: Reunion

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this game? The reviews have been pretty good, and seeing it in all it's 1920 x 1200 glory is impressive to say the least. I just want to make sure there's more to it than what the demo is showing me. I cannot stress how complex the UI is, and I'm certian I'm only scratching the surface since I don't know how to access 90% of the content in the demo.

I DLed the demo, but without the instruction book, it's rather hard to figure things out. The graphics are the best I've ever seen in a space sim, but the controls still feel a bit off for me (I use a MS FF2, which sucks cause MS dosen't support it anymore...). I'm considering using the default mouse/keyboard combo if I buy the game.

I haven't played a decent space sim since Freespace and I've been itchin' to find a decent one to soak up some of my game time.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

I played X2 briefly. It was VERY boring. I only lasted about 15 minutes before getting rid of it. I won't buy another title in that series.
