This may get expensive... I had a follow-up visit to ortho surgeon today (been going to PT all month). After some strength/motion tests he tells me that I have a secondary impingement and most likely a SLAP Lesion (Superior Labrum Anterior-Posterior tear). I get to go in to MRI tech next week to be injected with dye/food coloring/Kool Aid/wtf and then get to lay on a table for 1.5 hours for CT Scan and MRI...
I hear this shit is more likely a surgery cantidate than a rotator cuff injury...
Been through shoulder surgery a couple of years back, the surgery and recuperation period are absolute hell and last for 3-6 months total. But afterwards it is great, they completely fixed my shoulder and it is as good as new today.
So I would advise to get it done, having a shoulder that pops in and out really sucks.
I dislocated my shoulder 13 times playing football and ended up with a lot of torn cartilidge and a torn labrum.
I had 2 surgeries to fix the problem and today it feels great. The key is that when I had the surgery, I was a D1 athlete and got free physical therapy for 2 hours, 7 days a week. My injured shoulder actually has more flexibility in it today than my "good" shoulder.
Take the therapy seriously or you will have shoulder pain for the rest of your life.
So he broked himself playing showpony with his life pardner?
