Vongo - Online Movie downloads

Seems like a decent offering. Can download as many movies as you want, get a live stream to the Starz channel and also PPV movies.

Seems like a nice start. It mentions is has TV series. Might be worthwhile in the future if it continues to grow.

I tried out the free trial. I am not impressed at all with the selections. Though I was happy to find Like Water for Chocolate, which happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time.

Also one other thing that bothers me, You have to call to cancel. Why can't I just cancel online!

I was watching TV and I see a commercial for Vongo. I saw this thread and saw how neena said the selection sucked. Then I saw the thread was in May. I figuered, hey, 7 months is a long time, maybe they got their act together if they are advertising, and they got a free 14 day trial. Only $9.99 a month. So I check it out.

Horrible, god awful selection. I took a quick look at my dvd selection and searched for some of them on Vongo. Out of about 35 searches, I had 3 matches. 3. What the fuck is that. These arnt no names either.

Some big ones, some huge ones, some small ones, none of those were on vongo. What was on there from my collection? Kung Fu Hustle, Sin City, Fifth Element. Im amazed on the shit amount of choices this fucking thing gives you.

Ok, lets see movie quality. I pick Sin City. It gives me some options and which version of the movie to download, like language, widescreen, standard, unrated, thats all cool. I choose the unrated widescreen and it starts downloading, at 187k.... What the fuck. When I chose the trial, it said it required at least a 300k connection. Why the fuck isnt it download at 300k then? It even told me I had 870k available. I didnt even bother waiting for it to download. If you have an online delivery method, then you should get your item quickly. Not 2 fucking hours later.

Well there is one positive to all this. You can cancel online now.
