Area girls' MySpace video shows them kicking cat

A tip from an animal-rights group led to charges against two 14-year-old Marion County girls who posted a video of themselves kicking a cat wrapped in plastic on the popular Web site MySpace.com.

"I think we have a pretty good case," Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said Thursday as he watched the video online for the first time.

Authorities were alerted to the video by a letter from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, charging documents indicate.

The nearly two-minute video, which was still on the Web site Thursday afternoon, shows the girls dropping, shoving and kicking the plastic-wrapped cat, named Stump, around a room, making comments such as "How does it feel?"

MySpace.com officials could not be reached for comment. The social-networking site, used by more than 40 million people, lets users create their own Web pages and is especially popular with teens and young adults.

Whether you like cats or not anyone who thinks that's funny is a disturbed individual.

So freaking sad. I have heard of a few instances with the blogs getting people caught, and the one recent planning of a shooting in Kansas which was turned in because of messages the kids sent around. Now that they have added video to Myspace, I am sure there will be more news about the stupid shit that people not only do, but the crap they are dumb enough to post on the web.

I read about that. They got caught because one of the idiots was bragging about it on myspace, and they got turned in for it.

I'm sure their punishment won't be equally as harsh as what they did. I say wrap em in plastic and throw them into a cage with 2 tigers.

I dunno, I think that would be bad for the tigers digestive system...

Edit - I dont think the plastic would be good for them either
