Went and saw this on my lunch break. Good horror comedy, to say the least! Lots of gore, nasty appendages, exploding heads and all the good fun. Excellent!

"Could you give me a little piece of that opossum over there?"

Nice little head-nodder from a former Troma guy.

9/10! ;)

Other Horror Comedies:

Ghostbusters 1 &2
Frighteners
Evolution (not quite horror)
Eight Legged Freaks
Brothers Grim (kinda)
Shaun of the Dead
Dead Alive (Dark Humor, but funny none-the-less)
-Most of the Tales From the Crypt and Creepshows-

Can anyone think of any more movies that fit into this genre? I personally enjoy these types of flicks because humor and comedy usually go well together. These movies are generally very carefree and fun.

EDIT: 'Cause I spell like a fucking retard. Thanks for not pointing it out.

I believe Gremlins would fall into this category. Critters and perhaps Tremors? Tremors is severly underrated IMO! I seem to remember Fright Night being rather tongue in cheek as well? Not sure, it's been a looooong time since I've seen that one.

Btw, none of the Scary Movies count. No parodies count, so don't bother listing them!

Killer Clowns scared the shit out of me too...

I wouldnt count the original Gremlins/Critters/Tremors, only their sequels.

House on Haunted Hill (1999 remake) was a good laugher/screamer.

All movies are better at the Drafthouse! I'm just glad there is one in San Antonio.

I dunno. This is more of the Troma thing and doesn't really sit straight next to many of the subgenre films mentioned. Maybe Tremors...

Still, it was funny as all hell. :)
